Hey Casey the clip fit great as expected.. but im having the same feelings as speed the gradient ano is barely visible? Its really isnt visible in most light ? Love the clip but was under the impression it would look like the pics....

Since the question of clip length comes up from time to time, I figure I'll give my input on this. Due to a cock up on my order, Casey was nice enough to send me a couple black long clips until he got more of the short black clips that I had ordered. I forget if I have posted a picture like this here before, but here is a comparison...

Casey generally recommends the short clip for the PM2, because, unless I am incorrect, he says it is less likely to snag on things hanging out of your pocket, which is no doubt true. The longer clip is actually about the same pinch point as the stock clip. I still have one of each on my PM2's actually, somewhat for variety and because I am not sure which I prefer. Something that I will point out that may be worth noting is that when I grip the knife with the short clip, my index finger rests in the indent of the clip. When I grip the knife with the long clip, my index finger and the finger next to it rest in the indent in the clip, which feels somewhat more secure to me and I think I prefer. So if I had to choose between one or the other, I think I actually prefer the LONGER clip for the PM2. I don't think you can go wrong with either... :thumbup:
 
Hey Seventh - sorry about that. I am thinking I need to upgrade my lighting setup in my shop... I thought the ano looked good, but after hearing the same thing twice, I know I need to take another look. But I do have a solution to the dull ano problem, and I'll get you out another clip asap. Hang on to the one you have, or maybe you have a buddy you can give it to.

Thanks rs for the comparison. It's funny how small differences like that can have a big impact on comfort and grip.

Getting a Delica very soon, and i'll be sure to pick up one of these clips!
What size/color would you suggest for a blue delica?

Hey Mutton, I would suggest the long clip. Either the short or long will work, but the long clip pinches on the same smooth spot on the scale as the OEM clip. The shorty pinches on the textured part of the scale and is a pocket shredder.

Hey Southpaw - I'm afraid I'm out of the black clips for awhile... the powdercoat shop I was using decided that my account was too small for the headache of hitting the clips, so they decided not to take on more work. I can't say as I blame them - I'm sure it was a pain to set them up to shoot, and the dollar amount I put toward their bottom line was a pittance. So long story short, I'm looking for another shop who will take on such a tiny account, but I haven't had much luck yet. Sorry about that.
