Deep carry / low ride titanium clips for Spyderco knives - Delica, PM2, Manix, etc.

Here is my new Manix2 XL in S90V with a short clip and a fade from natural to some blues with just a touch of purple. Tough to see in the pic. Thanks Casey, looking forward to when you offer flamed!

Can anyone give me hints as to how to attach these to a Manix 2?

The factory screws seem too long to position into the clip, and the screws that came with the clip seem too short to reach the threads.

Does anybody who's done this want to give me some tips?

Thanks for any help.

On my XL I used the factory screws. They were fussy to get in and get started but they did work. Not sure if that helps or not.
Best...

On the XL I had to bend the clip with a needle nose just a tad. Just enough to get the screws in. Then I inserted the screws and bent the clip back to original and installed the clip. The XL Manix was pretty simple, the Centofante 3 I had to drill out the holes in the clip a size larger and used the same drill on the plastic handle holes to give enough clearance. Just a little more difficult but well worth it. The other knives pictured were no issue if I remember right.
Here are my 7 spaceman clips. A little modification on a couple.

Lotsa nice pics of anodized clips posted above. Are any of color #15, what Casey described as grayish-blue?

Thanks Ray for posting that pic. Good looking Manix!

Tom - did you get the clip on OK? I try to make sure the screws can get into the holes OK through the large access hole, but it can be tight like Barman mentioned. What he mentioned is a good strategy. If it doesn't work, let me know and I'll test a clip with the OEM screws and send it out to you.

Man Barman, what a nice lineup. Love those scales on your Manix. Sick! Is the hole pattern on the Centofante 3 the same as the other knives, or is it a bit different?

Hey Carin - the blue is probably a bit more blue than grey, I would say.

The Centofante has a few differences. The hole pattern seems to be closer together and the holes in the plastic handle are smaller than most others making it a little more of a precise fit. The depth is a factor as well given the construction of the knife. The stock screws bottom with your clip being a little thinner so I used different screws. Same screw size that the Endura uses to hold the handle together.
Only takes a couple of minutes to make the adjustment and looks great on the Centofante.

PayPal sent for a short, standard (unanodized) clip.
Have you thought about making these for Benchmades? My 940 would be even better with one.

Thank,
Sam

Hey fellas - thanks for all your support and for the work. I appreciate it!

Fyi, I have 3 short clips left, and about 20 long ones.

Got mine today wow they didn't last long at all this time. Just goes to show that everybody here knows quality when they see it. Anybody sitting on the fence about getting one of these don't hesitate Casey is a pleasure to deal with and you won't be disappointed. Thanks again Casey for the great clip and the excellent customer service. Hope you can get the feather etch next time really thought it looked cool. Rich

Thanks Legion for the kind words. I really appreciate your support and all the support from the guys here on BF. It has been fun.

Yessir Cairn, I'll get it going for you.

Casey

Casey these are looking really great and I'll hopefully be ordering a couple from you soon. Any plans to expand into other brands or knife models? I'd love to find a low-rider clip to fit my Salt with that larger single-screw style clip.

Hey Casey, Thanks for the great clips and working through the mailing issues. Here's a picture of my Domino.

Hey Natural - I am working on some clips for other brands - not sure yet which one will be first. I'd love to do a few but CAD work is expensive!

Thanks Wht for posting those pics. Sal killed it with the Domino, no doubt about it.
