Here is the second incarnation of my 'delux necker w/ hypnotic maple'. The first one sold in less than two minutes, so we'll see how it does this time.

Blade - high satin finish 1/8" O-1, rockwell 58-59
Handle - AAA grade curly maple, very chatoyant and hypnotic, stainless and stainless mosaic pins
Sheath - kydex neck sheath w/ approx 30" of stainless steel ball chain - 20 lb breaking strength

OAL 3.75", sharpened edge 1.375"

$75 plus $5 shipping, paypal preferred to patrickbarter@gmail.com

Thanks for looking
Patrick

Thanks Mapper66! Chatoyant is a great word - gives different light at different angles, basically. Perfect for this wood.

My eyes are crossed and I have a head ache. :D

How did I miss this? :D

Nice work bud, I think I met you earlier this year in Marlborough. You are apprenticing with Chris and Lamont right?

Probably at Marlborough. Chris and I have amiably parted ways, although I did learn a lot of what I know about sheath fit and finish from watching and working with him, but I do visit Lamont as often as I can, usually about twice a month, to bask in his vast knowledge, experience, talent, and to shoot the wind =).

If there's enough interest, I'd consider doing a small run of these knives.

International shipping is no problem with any of my knives. Buyer pays actual cost, which is under $15, priority, for a knife of this size last time I checked.

works out to about $100 USD after exchange, nice! i would have to use a personal cheque (with time to clear obviously before shipping) though....i dont use paypal or credit cards....

?

Sure thing corewise. I'll start putting together another batch. 4 so far - post if you want one and i'll start rolling on it next week when some of my other orders are finished.

I love the design but might contact early next year instead.....I will finally be ready for more knives then! :D

So, 6 so far. I'll cut into some steel for these on Tuesday, so Tuesday by 11am will be the deadline for this batch.

The blades are ground, heat treating this evening, and handles will begin on Sunday. Expect finished products ready for shipment mid to late week.
