I genuinely don't think any of that matters in terms of my question. Swamp Rat's do not have talon holes, only Busse's do. Trying to I.D the blade. In an email it said 'Busse Desert Patrol' but it doesn't have a talon hole. Curious.

Busse BB13 has no talon hole. I think there are exceptions. Edit: Just checked mine 🤣 🤦‍♂️

Two weeks?? I have no idea and I need to plan as well, but they are going to take the time they need to process the orders.

I'd simply love to know if the Desert Patrol is a Busse Model -- no talon hole and SR101 got me thinking otherwise but may well be wrong !
 
Help, what am I missing? Have there been Busse M.O's in a steel other than Infi, asside from the early days?

In the Stickied post: "We Bid Farewell To SR-101 Steel . . . .", El Jefe said "There are a number of Swamp Rat models in SR-101 that are still in process but are a long way from being finished.", and "There are NO new Scrap Yard models in process in SR-101".

With the Rats long and storied history of various military runs, as well as lacking a talon hole and being SR-101, this led me to just assume these were Rats.

These are from a variety of batch overruns and may show slight differences in blade and handle color from batch to batch.

The sheath screws and belt loops are included but not attached.

There are many different carry configurations for you to choose from. 👍

This was the best deal to come out of Wasson, Ohio in the past 10+ years imho!! Great job Busse and crew! :):thumbsup::thumbsup:


Also, I would love for these sheaths to become a regular thing alongside the Danny the Bull sheaths. They are great! Passed all my jump tests haha!!!!

Mine landed today, and it is SWEET!!! :cool:

Love the micarta I received, it is the brownest "tan" micarta I've seen since the venerable 'Rat Chopweiler all those years ago! Mine is a nice, almost chocolate brown, PERFECT!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
