Nice. I need to try that size TG someday... I have a couple TGULB and a couple TG-M... TG-M weigh more than a full-sized TGULB.
Yeah.... I have a couple of TG-M's. They're a little heavier than they need to be. They're fantastic, don't get me wrong. And for someone with big hands that wants a 6" -ish blade, you can't really get better. I don't think. Actually... maybe I just need to sand down the scales a bit...

Decided to get the scales out.
Tglub is 14 1/4 oz
Nano is 12 3/4 oz
DP is 7 1/4 oz

Interesting point of comparison if you just take the cutting edge, Nano might actually have a bit less of it than DP, but only due to the blade shape. The length Nano has on dp is due to a long choil.

Wish nano got ultra light anorexic treatment for even more weight savings. However, as it stands it pretty much exemplifies do everything knife for that size. I'm loving the patrol thought, basically it's every bit a knife as nano, with less prybar and non knife utility nano can provide. Basically a great knife to pair with the chopper of your choosing.

I feel like TGULB and nano would be better as your only sharp thing to bring if you don't have a prybar, an exe, or a bigger chopper like a mistress (or cyclone now in my case). Nano would win out for me over full size due how much easier it is to carry a smaller blade. Patrol would be my choice as a belt knife if I got other tools on me, or if I'm trying to go as light as possible and still need a stout fixed blade. Which is what this thing is designed for.

Yeah there are some nice lightweights from the family too... some notable are res-c handled like the Taliwhackers and the 711's... large enough for government work and light too.

Regulator Parkerized hollowground fullsize = 14.43 ounces
TG-M smaller TG, full fat = 19.01 ounces
Mini-Mojo = 17.04 ounces
Regulator 6.5 FG = 13.69
Regulator American FG - 14.67
711 Bowie Variant = 14 ounces
Jackmandu - 11.43 :)
Tali LE - 10.16

Yeah, I was looking for tan on tab res c dog soldiers, before nano came out. Now that I have nano and patrol it seems like I got most bases covered. And not to mention my SoB it's a bit shorter but great stout all around blade.

Perhaps old school urban grudge is better compromise. Now, it's hard to choose hehe

I have so many older 7" range bussekin... impossible to pick, but always easy to grab a regulator... I love all the ones I listed, but the TG-M are kind of boat anchors. I thought the tin cut Ratweiler was lighter... 17.43 ounces is not too light... regular one must top a TG-M.

The DP is like a Jackmandu lightweight kind of... I probably like the Jackmandu handles more, but the feather weight you can't deny... great blade.

Tali LE, Camp Tramp, Scrapper 6, Jackmandu, Desert Patrol, Bowie 511 (noted the names as much for me, since I can never remember what the Camp Tramp and Scrapper 6 are called - now I can look back on this thread)

Only rats I tried was was skelly warden and a hawk. Wouldn't know if jackmandu would feel better...and it's probably for thr best so I don't itch to buy more. But, if I had that clip point sykco, I probably would have skipped the patrol.

That's a 511

That sheath is a bit tight, but it seems to be loosening up a bit with repetition.
The handle is a little too small for me. Will have to see what I can make of it.
Maybe all it needs is FAT scales.

Will it be made and sold again?
I doubt it.
It’s made using a discontinued steel and it was a blowout deal.
I see them pop up on auction site(s) occasionally and in the Busse Exchange section of the forum.

I like its shape and thickness. It would be great if a similar product could be released.
