Desert Patrol With Sheath Special Offer!!! . . . . Lots Of Pics And Special Pricing!!! . . . . Coming Friday, September 27, 2024 At 9:00 PM Eastern!!!

I was charged on 10/28 and I have not yet received a shipping notice. It should be real soon now!

I believe it states 30 days when you order, but I’d say most of mine ship within the week, I’ve maybe had a couple get Close(er) to thirty days, but I’ve never had one go over. I’ve probably ordered 30+ knives from Busse. They are pretty lightning fast compared to other makers out there. I’m 5+ years in on two Randall’s !

Yeah, my status was changed on the 28th as well. Still awaiting shipment. My alpha cheff was changed to awaiting shipment today...I should probably call the shop and suggest they just ship both together.

Got mine today. That sheath retention is ridiculously tight. I may have to use a heat gun to loosen it up.

Agree… just one minor problem with it being stocked:
Steel: SR-101

We got a great deal on a super knife/sheath combo!

100% not bashing the factory sheath.

Just a word of warning.
Be very careful when heating.
Injection molded plastic does not react the same to heat as kydex/boltaron does.
It melts very easily
It gets soft a lot faster than kydex/boltaron.

I played/experimented with one of the sheaths that came with my knives since, yes they were made to be very very secure, and they are.
understandably given who they were originally for.

all in all it is a decent sheath.

Just be careful

7.16 ounces? I love it. Got mine today.

I actually like the retention. With a little pressure on the thumb ramp and a pull it just easily pops out. Not sure if thumb ramp actually pushes something apart in that case that's a pretty neat design.

However, if it's just a thumb ramp... it could have been angled the other way, so it's more of a thumb rest. As is, it forms a point that kind of jabs in your thumb. But, if that what helps the knife pop out, then as I said it's a good thing.

I can use it as is... not too tight but tighter than other sheaths I have... not as refined as something like the plastic sheath from a Spartan Harsey Fighter but it'll work. I'm a sucker for anything sterile from BUSSE. I miss my old Dog Father.
