Design A Simple Knife

what a great contest John... lots of great designs too folks... keep them coming...:)

Modified a sketch I did a while back.

Disregard where is says 3/32" stock, it is 1/8". Holes are 3/8". 5 3/4" overall

i really like this one... nice job Christian... you have great taste once again..:)

Haven't seen anything quite like I was looking for. The top is supposed to be a thumb ramp but it didn't come out to well. I was also shooting 2 5/8 or 2 3/4 blade and smaller handle, but I didn't measure until the end. I was not going to spend 30+ more minutes to do it again. Also, I added two different types of holes since I think John uses those small pins too. I need more drawing practice; the spine is supposed to be straight. I think you get the general idea.

I love this design. I could see it with walnut handles, a bit of heat-treat scale left on the flats at the top, and a nice dark leather sheath. Great stuff!

All the best,

- Mike

Me too. I actually have almost the same knife ready for handles out in the shop.
