Diamonds in the Rough!

I came across a couple more old DE knives with very unique patterns!

This one is an unusually bulbous stockman pattern. Polar opposite of the stockman Charlie posted! I suspect this is is an Empire knife. The jigging definitely doesn't look like Schrade's. (I could be wrong here of course)

I love how it feels in hand. The sunken joints and extra wide handle make this knife feel exceptionally good in the hand. The looks are kind of love-it-or-hate-it... :D

The example I found is quite beat up and has been heavily restored, but the blades are still snappy and overall the knife is still very solid. Overall I am very happy to have found this one for my collection, regardless of the condition.

Here's a couple photos of one in much better condition that I lifted from a completed ebay auction. I've never seen this "CuTuP" etch before... very cool. The swedge and long pull placement on the main clip blade are very cool as well and I don't think I've ever seen another quite like it.

Cool knives, Phil  I was watching that recent auction :D

I don't know how I missed those 2 stag beauties Phil. They are really special. And now that funky whatever it is. Looks like a football.

But wait there's more! (Cue Billy Mays)

These 2 stag beauties have also found their way into my hands. Both are spectacular.

Just went through this entire thread for the first time and am very impressed with so many fine knives.
Fantastic stag on these two models, Phil.

Thanks all!

Here is the other one. Another that I've never seen anything quite like it. It's a eureka pattern but with the main blade on the wider end and secondary on the opposite end. This one doesn't look like a Schrade to me, either.

To be clear I did not buy the celluloid handled stockman. I just copied the pictures from the auction page :D

Nice photos of awesome knives.
Phill - I near bought the one - I was all alone on that page for a few minutes - but bought others and was very pleased to see you grab that my friend.

Phil, you are the King of Diamonds!!
I've just gone over the last two pages, and you have been searching hard my friend!! Very nice bunch indeed!!

Thanks Charlie! That means a lot coming from you!

Duncan, I saw you got those teardrops my friend! I would have snagged those too if you hadn't claimed them already :)

Philllll,
Top Shelf - What absolute beautiful knives my friend- just unreal!
Interesting seeing the work detail in those Punches!

Beautiful Philllll
You must have found a secret hiding spot to keep coming up with all these Beauties!!
Thanks for sharing!

Dave

Thank you gentlemen! I feel very fortunate to have lucked into these new DEs. I just happened to find them in totally different places within a few days of each other!

Here's a couple others I came across recently. These ones are definitely "in the rough"!

The sowbelly is stamped Norvell and the slim jack is stamped Shapleigh. In the background is a great old Diamond Edge chef's knife.

Amazing Phil!!! You have a gift, a knack, whatever you have I want:D Flat out BEAUTIFUL knives and sincere thanks for posting them:thumbsup:

Great knives, Philllll! We are blessed to see the evolution of a great D-E collection!
