Diamonds in the Rough!

Lloyd, I think that's possibly the nicest congress I have ever seen. I'm weak at the knees!

- Paul

Both those congress pattern knives are rare birds Lloyd
Your SCC and peach seed collection are growing in a VERY impressive way!!
Well done My Friend!!:thumbup::thumbup::cool:

Thanks Duncan, Paul, Phil and Dave! Such nice comments coming from such highly regarded, highly knowledgable collectors with very impressive personal collections really means a lot to me!! That goes for Tim, Charlie, Paul H. and Gev also. Thanks again my friends for your generous comments on these Schrade family vintage folders. Best, Lloyd

Lloyd, your photos inspired me to take a fresh shot of my DE & Schrade Walden radio jacks!

Phil, let me be the first to congratulate you! Very nice and with stag handles and a nail file--I like it:thumbup: You sure have have good sources for vintage folders--you just went out and found one for yourself--SWEET! Lloyd

Look at the awesome aged Stag!!! Always nice to see yours and Lloyds finds Phil:cool: as well as other members also;)

Thank you Paul!

I got another stunner in today's mail! An EO teardrop jack. It's even got a bit of the etch still visible. I'm not sure who the maker was, but it doesn't look like a Shrade to me.

Awesome find Lloyd! I'm still on the hunt for one of those. Yours has great bone and the jigging looks like it's still nice and crisp.

Just LOOK AT THAT JIGGING!!! beautiful knife Lloyd but my gosh that jigging is amazing:cool::thumbup:

Thanks Phil, Paul and Duncan for the nice comments on this DE--much appreciated! Lloyd

Here's a fun new pair!

A Shapleigh jack knife, and an "SFO" version for Buster Brown Shoes.

The Shapleigh version has the usual stamping, while the Buster Brown has it's own special stamp on the main blade and a slightly modified "DIAMOND EDGE" stamp on just the pen blade. It still has a faint "BUSTER BROWN SHOES" etch on the blade, too!

Nice Stockman, Lloyd!!
Nice Jacks, Philllll!!

Philllll, can you do a tang closeup on that DE Jack in post #150?????

Just two AMAZING knives Phil. Love the unique tang stamp and of course the shield, the jigging, the full blades and the history of two vintage knives:cool::thumbup:

Thanks guys!

Here ya go Charlie:

The diamond is much more square on this one than most of the others, if that makes sense. Also says "HDWE" while most of them say "HDW."
