That means that you get an unbelievable price on some high performance INFI but you agree not to make any negative comments about this blade because I have already done that for you. . . If you want to complain about this knife. . . you have to pay the full price!!!"

I don't complain. I disliked the overall design so I just sold them to folks that can appreciate them , thus life goes on.. . :)

Uncle_Jarvis, stop squirming and send Jerry his $1000! :D

(That's 5 SAR5's at the extra $200 per knife). :p

Sar5 Functional ??? ;)
Sure you are not talking about the sarsquatch ?? :p
If anything, the Sar5 is the most disfunctional Busse in the bunch..

I know I explained this in another thread a while ago but I find the sar5 a displeasure to use.. Those of you that actually use these things will prob. understand..

The most impressive thing about the SAR5 was reselling them. Like any of my other Busses I took the sar5 out with me hiking. It was disappointing in almost every perspective. Batoning, chopping, woodcraft, ect. Handle really started bothering me. I just flat out dislike this blade an will never buy one again.. It just boggles my mind , why sar5 when you can have a SHSJ:confused: .. .

If you guys enjoy using the SAR5 that is cool. I still say it is the most dissatisfying Busse I have owned.

I never complained,If anything Jerry owes me $ now ::p:p:p;)

I guess I can't say anything negative about Busses around here b/c the HOGS will surly let ya know about it...

I'm a paying member so I will continue to share my real opinions. Guess ya gotta deal with it friend..:)

Plenty of folks mention the shortcomings of Busse blades around here. Just not the SAR5, as per agreement. How soon we forget... :p

The low price comes with a “no negative comments agreement”!!! . . . I really did not even remember Jerry saying that but it is what it is so .. :foot:

I just wish people would use the right abbreviations when they refer to certain older knives. :foot:

piglet, agreed.

I think a new forum rule should be that we spell everything out. By golly, if you're gonna own it, you should be able to spell it.

The other option, however, would be to make the system even more cryptic by assigning a color, a team sport, and an animal to each acronym/model.

So when I say Maroon Field Hockey Crocodile, everyone would know I really mean a SBHA III. :p :p :p

I didn't buy a SAR5, but handled someone's at Blade...so I can say I HATED IT:D:p

The slabs didn't come up far enough because of talon hole with no guard. If there had been no hole the slabs could have come up farther...like the one Bill just made. That was the first thing I noticed when I first saw the pic of the SAR5.
Me nor Jerry liked it...but seems most do though.

Remember, I did not buy one:p

Oh, back to the origanal post, I didn't think the two looked alike myself.

I heartily agree. I'm always pro-obfuscation. Although, I'm unclear as to what a "SBHA III" is. Is that a "Short Barreled Harkonen Assault"?

Thanks for the input Ken.. .

Not everyone has the same sized hand and personal preference. Knives are one of those things where peoples opinions vastly vary. :) This is cool because there is something for everyone..
Lets all be civil and enjoy the privilege in participating on the Busse forum.
