I've said "enough is enough" with certain segments of my knife collection, but never with all of them. When I first got here, for example, I was entirely into fixed blades. After buying several of them, I came to the realization that I'd never carry or use them. I'm not the kind of person who believes that if you don't use your knives, you've got no reason to live. But it's nice to have knives that you can actually hold in your hand, admire, cut stuff with when you need to, and carry around an office without ending up in HR explaining to someone why you're carrying a "weapon".
So at a certain in point in time, I made the decision to move exclusively to folders and I sold most of my fixed-blades. I haven't bought a new fixed-blade in years, but I haven't been quick to get rid of the remaining ones I've got either.
I'm pretty maxed out on folders at this point. On the other hand, I never completely give up the hunt. If I see something I really like, I'll buy it. So I guess when it comes to folders, enough won't ever be enough for me.
