  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

No problem. I just moved to Evansville, and never heard of pokeweed before. Also my large trash pickup is tomorrow. I just figured maybe.....

What a good lookin' knife, i love the pattern in the bone and how did you get those "patina drops" on the bolster?? :):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks a lot Kevin :) That's one of Charlie @waynorth 's 'Ancient Barlows', a limited run based on an old Sheffield pattern. GEC left some 'scale' on the bolsters. There's lots more info and pics in Charlie's Barlow thread (you might have to do a search within the thread). Here's another pic for now :thumbsup:

My Lanny`s clip got a serious workout on this whale me and Jan had for tea!

TOP pic mate! :D :thumbsup:

Few chances to see one around ;), though there are foxes on the railway track between my st and the parallel. Tomatoes don't interest crows, magpies or smaller birds.:)

Gave a test in a class today, and wore my lucky tie as I've done for taking or giving mathematics tests since 1969. But today was the first time I used a Vic Alox money clip as a tie clasp! :thumbsup::D

About time!
I never thought of that at all, to be honest.

Too cool, GT!:cool::thumbsup:

Used this today to harvest shallots/spring onions and bok choy from the garden, and to slice chillies, lemons and oranges. (But I didn't get any pics of it in action.)

What a great idea GT never tried it on a tie but I have carried this old Winchester money clip for years instead of a wallet. It has a finger nail file and pen blade.
