Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Thirded by me! I actually had to go and check those out elsewhere.

Today I have been catching up on rest and laundry after some long shifts at work.

I took the opportunity to bake a loaf whilst I was vegging....

Goofed my scoring up a little and now it looks like 'Red John' baked it ;)

i'll take a slice of that with some tomato and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. :p

Good stuff SH, looks like you had the right tools there

Nice to see that wee Baker's Knife Thom. I've got a big brother for it when I see you :)

Its such a nice knife....I enjoy putting it to work for its very specific tasks.
Shall look forward to that Jack, thank you. That pint(s) and a chin wag can't come soon enough!
Roll on the 6th! ;)

Beautiful artisan loaf, Thom! The knife is very cool as well

Thank you sir. Its multi grain. Has a great flavour, like bread oughta taste.

Well I'd offer to send you some but....

SH - That meat looks so good! It must be a pleasure to put those knives to work with such an honest and venerable task

SH - I've only had elk once....I'm envious but pleased to hear you are eating well sir.

JB - looking good. It's that kinda weather isn't it?

I've just rustled up some Caldo Verde. My Bethel Ridge Forge Hunter did all the prep.

That's no pequena with that food! What have you done with the real Jack Black?
Very cool knife though.

That Bethel Ridge is a beaut, too, Scruff.

Nowhere near dinnertime here, unfortunately.

It certainly is my friend. That looks good, nice-looking knife too :)

The Pequena was fighting to get out of my pocket Jer, but it's been a while since I last used the wee FB Sitflyer gifted me a while back :)

Thank you. The maker, Fred Rowe, kindly gifted me the blade a while back. Its a wee tweak on his hunter design.
I handled it with stabilized American Maple.

Look at the nice crumb on that bread!! The knife is very nice sitting on top.

Thanks Gev. I thought maybe it needed a bit more kneading....but I guess i got away with it ;)

Its hearty soup season. The blade was a wonderful gift. I honor that by using it almost everyday.

Honestly, neither did I until last need. I was doing a bit of recipe roulette. Portuguese cabbage, chorizo and potato soup didn't sound quite so cool ;)

I'd recommend it by the way. Its very easy to make, and so tasty. This is the 'Hairy Bikers' rendition.

Beautiful blade and great hafting

My slightly unusual Trevor Ablett Barlow helped me with various chores today. No cooking, but it did open my mail and various packs and packets, sharpen a pencil, and help me make some knife-box dividers.

More jackknives should have two full-sized blades, and more should have one straight edge and one curved. Love that Ablett.

Got the wifey out for the evening, think I'm bout to have a beer and see if I can give these whittlin' knives a workout.
