Digging Up Buried Knives

" No one is out anything " unbelievable....It's all about doing what you say you will do.

And you would know about that....How?

Welcome to my ignore list. I'm tired of reading your whining drivel.

" No one is out anything " unbelievable....It's all about doing what you say you will do.

what is actually unbelievable is that you keep coming back to this thread to stir the pot.

you call him a liar, when he has pretty clearly followed through. just not to a schedule that pleases you. you're acting as though he made campaign promises to lower taxes or some such b.s.

you can't win, he already excluded you.

go away, or stop acting like an ass.

or call the police, im sure they would find your story of broken internet promises very intriguing. maybe they'll form a bfc task force to expose all our deceptions.

Im gonna bury a box of twinkies...and when I dig them bad boys up in a few years...Im sending them to select forum members and we can all film ourselves chowing down....hehehe.

Opinels are great knives, but they have a sad tendency of the wood swelling when wet and block the blade.
I hade to use pliers to open them many times.
Impregnated the wood and the problem disappeared.

I took some sandpaper, wrapped it around a dowel, and used it to sand an easy-open notch into the handle of mine. I can now simply pinch the blade open in the event that the handle swells.

Sorry for sidetracking a little on this thread. FortyTwoBlades, I'm a little unclear as to how you position your notch. Do you have a photo? (I also have some Opinels and since I live in a humid place I am interested to know about your method more.) Thanks!

I just got caught up on the pics. The patina on that first Mora Craftsman is great! I wish I could replicate such a pattern intentionally.

Aside from the carping, this is a great thead.

Just a thought it kind of sucks when folks quote the idiots on my ignore list so that I end up reading the inept pansy assed irrational petty jealous whining simpering sniveling putrid puss that they spew out of their rectal cavity despite my efforts to ignore them and enjoy the many other interesting and informative posts by all the intelligent members of this board who actually have something of value to contribute.

I don't have a photo on hand, but the notch is right where the nail nick is. It's basically just a semi-circular cutaway in the handle so you can just pinch the blade instead of using your thumbnail and breaking it off!;)

In all this mess of mud flinging, can someone direct me to the pictures of these knives? Too many pages of trash to read through. For shame.

NM I found them.

Thanks, Ren! I never thought I'd say this, and I hate to be contradictory, but...

You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar:D

Who on earth said he’s not doing what he said he was going to? It seems he’s been ill and busy at work. Do you really think that boxing, packaging, and shipping a bunch of knives at his own expense is really gonna be top on the list of things to do?

J will get to it when he gets to it. No one who has won a knife is complaining.

Darn tootin'. The man's personal life and responsibilities come before our selfish desires.

BTW thanks Ren. We needed that.
