Dinged for the CHOP HOUSE

This Wednesday is gonna be killer cool!
A new knife and my Chop House Lean is scheduled for delivery!!!

Posted these over in the Yard but I don't imagine everyone goes to both.

Straight out of the box.

The Skinner has a thick blade for such a little thing but the distal taper starts up pretty early. The green coating looks sweet, it has a pebbled texture to it that might hinder how well it slices. I'll see how it works with the coating on but I could see it getting stripped pretty quickly. The mudder grip is fantastic as always.

Thick Cut sage and Lean Cut green side by side. I hadn't planned on keeping them both, I just wanted to have them both to compare. Little harder to decide now, if I had to pick right now I would probably go with the Lean.

Here's one of the Choppy's with the 911, 1111, and 1311. I've got a paper to write so no outside time for me or them just yet. Soon, my preciouses.

The 'pebbling' doesn't feel as pronounced on the Chophouse as it does on the Skinner. Matt I'll get an in hand pic of the Skinner up in a bit.

Thanks for the pics.

Looks like the desert sage is a very high saber (nearly FFG) while the moss looks like the saber starts about half way up. Is that the case or just the pic making it look that way?

I wonder why the choil on the CH, 1111, and 1311 was made differently than the 911?

Happy to be able to get the pics, can't wait to get them outside.

The sage one is the 1/4" version and the grind does start much higher on it. I'm not a fan of the square choil like the 911 has, it was the one thing that kept the 411 from being a perfect all-arounder imo. I don't mind it so much on the 911.

Here's the Skinner in hand. I wear L/XL gloves for reference.

Didn't have much time with it but it doesn't seem like there'll be any problem choking right up on these.

Sweet.

Yeah, I like the square choils on the 1311 and can see myself liking it on the CH too.

The skinner will be my first mudder grip res C blade. Looking forward to it!

The high saber on the thick cut looks great.

I suppose they were able to keep the lean cut extremely strong keeping the saber lower.

Glad to hear you'd keep the lean out of the two if you were to pick right now. That's the one I've got coming. :D

One more day. Hopefully.🙏

Nice pics grogimus. I'm really kicking myself for not getting both versions and not getting moss on the CH!😒

Looks great.

Got the notice that my Skinner and Chop House has shipped...in about a week I will have the in hand.

Nice!! Those look great

Couple more...I'll add the Skinner feels thinner behind the edge than I thought...nice! And Denny needs a bonus for all these fine edged he's putting on these blades.:thumbup:
