One of the strongest locks ever designed. I prefer this to a liner lock all day, "accidental" disengagement is virtually nonexistent. Unlocking is easy enough to do with a pinch of the thumb and index finger.Again I wasn't saying the Millie is a bad knife. I was simply stating that I dont think its going to work for me. Now the para 2 fits my hand but i wish it had the liner lock instead of that lock in the back. Weird spot for a lock?
Just got a Spyderco Military. Thought I would like it since I have a few para millies that i like. I figured the ergos would be good if not better and I gotta say im disappointed and will be returning this knife. Im a huge Spyderco fan so im kind of disappointed that im not happy with it. Anyone else feel the same way or have a similar experience??
we both know what i meant when i typed tuff. Any knife that is prone to tip breakage aint tuff.

I have one Military (an orange one), which I bought mostly to check the knife out. I do find it impractically large for me (I work in an office environment and pretty much never need anything larger than, say, a 2.5" blade, so the Military seems cartoonishly big), but I really admire it for what it is - a large, lightweight, sturdy folder. The PM2 is much more practical in my life, but I keep the Military around to play with . . .
Are you even allowed to carry such knives where you live?
Well, im about to box her up to go back. I feel bad, i ve never returned a Spydie before. Hopefully it ll get to someone that will enjoy it!
I'm going to keep mine for at least a while and re-visit after a bit. Sometimes knives I don't care for on initial examination grow on me as time passes.
I accidentally stabbed myself in the ass with mine while playing kung fu one night.
I decided I had to keep it after that.
Well, sure, when it has sentimental value you really should keep it.![]()
Man thats a long sharp tip to tear up your buttocks!! Ouch!
That, and I'm hoping it was also an honest effort to kindly not pass along his derriere-plasma to an unsuspecting victim!![]()
