Disappointing D2

I bet had there been a thumbstud rather than a huge hole it wouldn't have broke. I see what you guys are saying and somewhat agree. It is an odd break for a drop like that.

Sorry to hear about your knife! In light of where your knife blade broke (i.e. on the thumb hole portion) we can cover your knife under warranty. Please send it in and we will get you setup with a new blade. All you have to do is worry about shipping the knife to us. We got the rest!

This is why I own so many of their knives. From my experience, BM customer service goes out of their way to work directly with their customers to reach a point in which the customer is satisfied with the outcome and experience. That signifies their dedication to their customers.
 
Even if I had to pay the $25 I'd feel fortunate. At least they'll reblade knives. Some companies I actually do have to worry about breaking the blade because I know if I do I might as well put the remains in the garbage and move on...

Great story. As usual Benchmade's customer service comes through. Glad they're taking care of your knife!
 
I punctured steel with my BM 275 adamas which is D2 and it was fine. did you ever pry or twist the knife cause I'm surprised
