Disccusion: Beckerhead BK-10 Special (was: Don't you just HATE it when ...)

i haven't received a box from KaBar in ... DAYS. whine.

but i'll have a new knife in hand wednesday at least... nobody could ever guess this one :> well, maybe ;)

and hopefully a couple more by end of month :)

damn that Ethan, pointing me to a model that i *MUST HAVE*. dammit.

i have a hand convexed Camillus model that can shave hairs ... my BK10s will go in the vault... someday to be mounted and framed or something useful like that in the Becker Hall of Fame Museum and BBQ Ranch, bring the kids, shows every hour! Moose paintball! Biscuit tossing. all kinds of events.
 
I don't know what's to become of the extra or extra's of the BH10. I had the cash to get them and it seemed like the thing to do. I have 3 sons so saving them is an option. If times get tough, and they will for us, selling them is an option. I have nobler aspirations for them but who knows.
 
I'm not going to mod mine either, but if I had a second one, I might. Really I doubt it though, I really like the looks of the 10.
 
Yeah man it's a cool knife for sure. I really enjoying this BK12 while my BK10 gets fitted for pants.
 
I get tempted to mod my knives sometimes, but most times I think this is why I bought them in the first place, because I liked the way they look.

Would be a good gift if you're ever close to someone who's heading into combat. Got a neighbor who's kid is shipping out and I was considering, but his dad had already hooked him up.
 
If I was to have a warrantable failure to my BK10, what would Kabar replace it with. Not planning on hurting it, but am planning on using it. Was just wondering what they would replace it with? or how it would be handled? Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else.

if they had one to replace it with, i suspect they'd do that.

otherwise, i would guess they'd offer a "like knife" or something like that.

in the hopefully not too far flung future, they'll have production BK10s, and they'd offer that...
