Discontinued, or just impossible to find? Plus: your "white whale!"

For me it has to be the ZT 0302. I know that they are out there, but it's the price they are going for that keeps me from pulling the trigger. I guess one day I will have to loosen the purse strings and splurge. Haha.

Since your a ZING fan you'd be a good person to ask. I have been thinking of selling my Orange Zing - never used or sharpened, but I cannot find the box. What would that command these days..?

Kershaw Zing damascus, been hunting it for a while. The question is what do I do once i get it. My Zing collection will be complete. Will I get bored with it and sell to start the search for something else? I guess I'll find out, bought one off the bay (yeah, I know) the other day. It was a buy it now for a very reasonable price. The wait is the hardest part.

If I may offer an unsolicited opinion: should said Zing be striated, made with the premium steel, well centered and in like-new condition...I believe it would fetch about $20, which I suppose I could offer, as long as shipping is included... :highly_amused:

ZT0777 Black Wash to make the complete set........

I have that set!

The 0302 is a tough one to find new in box/like new which is not really much of a surprise given the utility/useability of the knife. What is a surprise is the 0400 and 0400ST seeming so scarce.

A benchmade mini Ritter in m2 steel!! I know they are out there but nobody seems to wanna part with one!! I'd give a kidney for one!

Still looking for a good specimen of the original design of the Al Mar SERE folder with a 4" blade.

Also, the Jeff Harkins Triton OTF automatic, one of the original Masters of Defense models back in the '90's. I'd like to find one of their original Graciella Casillas-Boggs Lady Hawk karambits too.

It's not anything that special, but I waited too long to buy the Spyderco C74GP Ocelot. Now they're long gone.

For me, it would be a Benchmade mini AFCK. One of my favorite knives.

Same here, but specifically, an 812HS M2 plain edge.
When I contacted Benchmade about refurbishing mine, they suggested I retire it as it's fairly rare.
In searching, the last web reference of one for sale was 2012, before that 2009.

Let's see, I have about five:

1. Kershaw Zing Damascus

2. Kershaw Zing- orange handle

3. Victorinox/Wenger Soldier, dated 1962-66

4. Victorinox Pioneer- dutch army version

5.Full sized Griptilian with oval hole & CM 154 steel

Knew you had one...see that you still do. Looks like it's wearing well. Wish I'd grown up next to the factory too..... :)
I am always on the lookout for another one around here. And you will most certainly have first dibs it.
