As long as the knife maker is good to their customers and they make a good product, I could care less what their past is. People make mistakes, and people change as they get older. If you're adamant about dwelling on the past then don't buy his knives.... as simple as that. There's a custom knife maker who I don't really like as a person because he just seems like a douche-bag, but he makes absolutely AMAZING knives. I told myself that I won't go so far as to sell all of the knives I own made by him, but I don't think I will be buying anymore in the future. I like his knives so much that I was going to make most of my collection consisting of his work, but after dealing with him I don't care for them anymore. It's just a personal choice.... nobody put a gun to your head to force you to buy their knives.
