Dishonest seller on this site! Avoid like the plague!!!

You edited out his last name...please edit out mine(signature). Also... if you follow the links in my post, (two above yours), you will see I filled it out correctly. That is my address scratched out! The address on the MO is of the purchaser of the MO - not the payee!! please follow links!

Quote from the third link:

Update: In response to Roseann's comment, I have called MoneyGram myself. Company rep said to put name of person or business on the top line, your signature on the middle name, and YOUR address on the bottom line. Address (according to company rep) is not optional, and signifies the name and address of whoever bought the money order (you).

Even Had I filled it out incorrectly(which I did not)...it should not have been altered....it should have been returned!

It's crazy that two people can't work this out together, and instead it turns into 4 pages of mess on the forum.....

This is a mess and they should have worked this out on their own. If the MO was not cashable then it should have been sent back unaltered. We will most likely never know the exact details on either end.

BTW, number of pages is irrelevant, for you it is 4 for me it is 2, anyone can set the number of posts that go into a page.

Unfortunately I cannot provide BOTH sides in the communication process, as I'm sure you realize. I kept my end up! Sad that it took this amount of pressure for the Seller to re-start a little communication (but not to me) This is the original point of this thread...let the buyer beware!

Well, the observance is over and I've sent him a PM asking him to respond to this thread and you directly to work some sort of agreement out. Failing that, I'm not sure what else can be done. It's easy enough to deposit a money order into the bank, which is what I've done if paid that way. Have not had an issue in over 10 years. This has a very simple fix, and I hope we see it soon.

Well, thanks for the help! It was really more than I expected! I will recoup most of the money when the claim processes... I am done with this..just wanted to send out the warning!

I get that this was your last resort, and this is the place to come for that.

It's seems a little odd then that the seller is unwilling to deal with this except for one extremely vague post.

I would think that at some point you would realize that if you behave in a certain way during a transaction on BF, you will end up here....

I guess what I was trying to say then, is why not just resolve such a simple matter as this seems to be?

There really can't be much more to this then an issue with a MO, and $15.00, no good was exchanged....

Just seems crazy to not want to fix something so small in private.

Any update on this situation? Seems like Op is being very transparent in his dealings and the seller does not want the full story known. Is that about right?

Wondering how this ended up. I have dealt with cpio on several occasions and always went well. Items as described fair prices and prompt shipping. Communication was never an issue either
