I'm sorry to see this happened to you farid. I've always read nothing but good things about you. It's unfortunate this person has chosen the path they have. Thank you for the information, the community as a whole appreciates these bits of information. I will also agree that integrity is a big part of ones character. Without it, we really have nothing much at all.

Probably should start a new thread, but... So what is the best (or which would you take) knife to take while summiting Everest? Leek or scallion based on your sponsor? I'd probably drill out the leek scales to further lighten it, but more likely would leave it at a lower elevation. BTW, sucks to be wronged, but that's why there's Karma, forgiveness, tithing, and all the other aspects of us all living together in harmony. At the end of the day, we all answer to ourselves through our own "eyes." Sounds like you did right and in right kind will be rewarded. Stay safe and let this not load your pack in anyway.
 
Sir, I am going to Nepal with a clear mind, just in case I cannot check this thread for some time or something else happens, I will not be able to protect my name, so I have said it.

Kershaw were going to send me a 0777, none were available, I could not even buy one from collectors none were available, so I asked for a Kershaw Knockout, as far as I can tell you it is one under rated flipper, design is perfect. Also taking one of my K2 CPM REX 121.

The person in question is Tim Wilson ( maker) of Knoxville, TN , I have known Tim for many years, he has bought knives from me in the past.
The pictures I have uploaded is of a knife I made Tim many years ago for one of his friends, Tim told me the knife NEVER arrived, because I knew him well I went ahead and made him another FREE OF CHARGE and sent it to him. Many years later I have come across this knife on another forum, I have been communicating with its current owner (Dan) we had a long conversation on the phone regarding this matter and he has known Tim for some time, he has assured me that he traded this knife from Tim.
If I am not mistaken , if the knife according to Tim was either Stolen or Lost, how is it possible that he has recently traded it ? I have been looking out for this knife for years to come up for sale so I can find out what had happened to it.

I have sent Tim Wilson emails to allow him the correct time frame to comply and do the right thing here which is to ‘pay for the knife’,
Since he is a member on BF and other forums and a knife maker I have given him the opportunity to take care of this matter in Private, he has not done so and furthermore he does not pick up his phone.
The knife in question is the T-1000 QCF, I have always kept the original pictures of this knife before I shipped it to Tim, if you take a close look it is the same knife when you compare the pics on the forum it is on right now and my pictures on here.



I did not wish to do this in public and just wanted Tim to get in touch and explain himself and do the right thing, at the end of the day even if the knife got to him at a later date he should have done the honourable thing and emailed me to let me know the first knife I built him ‘Has arrived’ , not for me to find out this way years later.
Oh by the way, Tim also promised me a pair of combat pants and jacket which NEVER arrived years ago.
Thank you all for reading this thread, I will try to answer any questions that I can, although the finer details I may not remember since it’s been a long time but the important thing here is the first knife I made Tim arrived just fine ‘like I promised him’

Shame on him !! I bet when you messaged him about this he shocked that you found him out. It was a dirty little trick he pulled and he should come and explain his actions . He owes it to you.

I looked for his profile, and it seems he got the ban-hammer a couple years ago.
 
I am sorry to hear about this as I found Farid to be both honest and a man of his word. His work is above reproach and it is terrible that someone took advantage of his customer service ethic. If this indeed a matter of theft, I would hope this person is no longer able to be a member of this great forum.

Did you post this info on the forum where he had the pics ?

He's been banned here, and maybe they will do the same there if he doesn't do the right thing.

Just for clarification, the seller has agreed to split the sale of this knife with me and he is not at fault here

I am not a thief but damn, if I were to turn scumbag all of a sudden a super knife like that would be the one. Good luck getting your answers farid.
 
Just for clarification once again, the seller of this knife got the knife from Tim directly, he did not know anything about the history of this item so he traded for this knife in good faith so I do not have a problem with the seller on JD forum, he has also agreed to split the sale of this knife with me and he is not at fault here.
