That's my issue with it as well. Such a large choil when you have a full size handle already. It checks a lot of boxes for me. A larger, super stout knife, built to take a ton of hard use. But man is it a ton(!) of knife for just a regular amount of cutting edge. The proportions are off. I'm a pass.
I had one of the originals, but let it go because the choil ergos just didn’t work for me. The handle was extremely comfortable, but using the choil was not. A little tweaking of the design would have provided more cutting edge and a much more usable choil (for my hands at least - YMMV).That's my issue with it as well. I think ridiculously large is the essence of this knife. Pair it with a Seiko Prospex Solar Tuna, a Humvee (and if you want to go to far an Austrian accent) and you are in full on action hero hog heaven. It does look unique and sturdy but man that finger choil looks ridiculously large and wasting a good portion of the cutting edge. Plus, at this price point, is a titanium liner too much to ask for?
Or perhaps even more apropos, the Seiko Arnie!Pair it with a Seiko Prospex Solar Tuna
Don't want to make it all about him. I'm pretty sure there was at least one more guy in the day.Or perhaps even more apropos, the Seiko Arnie!![]()
