DLT Commence the guessing

The website was relatively smooth and the rewards points I found in my account are a bonus! Thanks for bringing this unique Spyderco Exclusive DLT!

Apparently not that much demand. I could still put one in the cart at 148pm Pacific Time today 7/20.

I did not buy one because I don't like its appearance. It's better than the original because it doesn't have those silly dimples but it's still not entirely to my liking. I have some but black coated blades and "colored" scales are just not my "thing."

Offer one with a stonewashed or satin blade w/a black G10 or full (not composite) smooth or textured CF scale and then I'd probably buy it.

I love the look and the unique features of this exclusive but there's no way that beast would find any pocket time. I don't even carry my Shaman (due to it's weight) very much.

It’s a lot of knife … but it’s also a lot of money. I just checked and they still have some.

It checks a lot of boxes for me. A larger, super stout knife, built to take a ton of hard use. But man is it a ton(!) of knife for just a regular amount of cutting edge. The proportions are off. I'm a pass.

That's my issue with it as well. Such a large choil when you have a full size handle already.

I am excited to get this in hand.
Different design features and grip options.

The price is higher but... for the materials and uniqueness it's alot less money than I see from other makers offerings.
To each their own.

I had one of the originals, but let it go because the choil ergos just didn’t work for me. The handle was extremely comfortable, but using the choil was not. A little tweaking of the design would have provided more cutting edge and a much more usable choil (for my hands at least - YMMV).

I had one of the originals as well and didn't mind the ergos, my issue was its folding prybar-ness.
I attempted to take the edge bevel down to 17dps and it just looked goofy with that fat edge.
So I sent it off for a regrind.
Unbelievable after that!
And that's what is holding me back on this new issue, the blade and handle coating would require too much modding after a regrind to aesthetically appeal to my ocd.

It looks like a folder you can use a baton on! Maybe a chopper in a pinch?
I had to get one because it’s a unique brute with excellent materials. I’m sure it won’t get the Manix Maxamet LW out of my pocket.

It does look unique and sturdy but man that finger choil looks ridiculously large and wasting a good portion of the cutting edge. Plus, at this price point, is a titanium liner too much to ask for?

I think ridiculously large is the essence of this knife. Pair it with a Seiko Prospex Solar Tuna, a Humvee (and if you want to go to far an Austrian accent) and you are in full on action hero hog heaven.
