I decided not to buy one because I thought $315 was kinda steep for a Taichung model (granted I think their quality is typically the best), even though I always wanted to try the Tuff. I also thought this given the "dimple" milling was not included like the original, I assume as a cost saving measure. Similarly I thought the use of TiCn over DLC was for cost savings, but it turns out only USA made Spydies use DLC. The only blade coating I've ever liked is DLC but I've never tried TiCn before.
That said, mine arrived today.

Very glad I pulled the trigger!
Feeling the quality, $315 is a bargain especially given it is Cruwear. This is hands down the nicest frame lock action I've ever had on a Spyderco. Smoothness of the blade action is superb. It rivals my Gayle Bradley 1 but is just less "loose" feeling.
It can easily be thumb flicked open, lock side index finger or middle finger flicked open, as well as Spydie dropped open. It is not quite able to drop shut on its own but a little wrist jiggle and it does.
The fit and finish are typical Taichung awesomeness and the Tuff is VERY comfortable, especially with all the chamfering around the handle. I also love how thin the knife is overall, yet it is still comfortable and doesn't feel boxy in hand. Lockup is also rock solid; no play at all. Disengages easily but not too easily (i.e. it is perfect) and lockup is right at 50% with zero stick.
My only couple gripes are that the black color of the pivot screws and clip are a lighter black than the blade and body screws. My OCD would prefer them all to match. I also think the liner should have been either blasted to match the titanium lockside, or blacked to match the blade and hardware; the shiny silver color just seems out of place.
Lastly I am nervous the TiCn won't hold up over time but I am willing to give it a fair shake.
All in all I think $315 for this bad boy is a steal when you factor in the build quality.
