Review DLT Trading co.

Got the knife I sent into Buck warranty for repair back instead from DLT with the blade now engraved which I didn't request and the top bolsters squished in so there is no lateral play any longer which solve that problem but it is a ruined unit. Sometimes its best just to stomp the dust off your feet and move on.

Better to waste a little money now than a lot going forward. Integrity and honor have become lacking in American business today. Shalom

SP, have you called DLT or Buck directly? Buck does have their "forever warranty". There has evidently been some sort of mix up. Both have been stellar for me as far as customer service.
Hope everything works out to your satisfaction...

What was etched on the blade?

They probably set the price with that very scenario in mind, I would guess. That is, to 'encourage' people buying that knife to add another item... Nothing wrong or underhanded at all about that, IMO. The days of 'the customer is always right' are long gone, DLT had nothing to do with that.

They have free shipping for over $99. The 110 Green Micarta is $97.95, so it is $1.06 under. I said "price it at $99.99 and I will buy it with free shipping"

Yes, you can order something additional and that is precisely what they suggested. I did not want anything else at the time.

what happened with the engraving...they did one and weren't supposed to or messed up the one that was on it? I'm confused, thank you for unconfusing me, if ya dont mind, Sir.

The original order was for no engraving although I thought I might have Peace put on the knife's bolsters but when they told me engraving was for the blade only I said never mind. I sent the knife to Buck Warranty because of lateral blade play in the open position, they must have forwarded it to DLT because that is where it returned from.

The order showed:
Engraving: NO
Letters: PEACE

Knife came back from DLT with "NO PEACE" inscribed on the blade and the top bolsters vise pressed in a noticeable fashion. If I was a Liberal, "NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE" could be appropriate, but then if I was a Liberal would I be a Buck Knives fan? Who knows?
This one I chalk up to cluster flub and experience. It is a memento of the year 2020, lol.

Oh no! That is a flub. If it’s brown or green you can call it a peace of :poop:. No? Lol . I’d almost pay for a reblade to get that off. Thanks for not posting a picture. Lol

If there were enough room you could add;

No God, no peace... Know God, know peace.
Thus my new line in my signature.
It was easy enough to just polish the blade off to a gloss shine like the rest of this particular knife and be content with the /\ incanted top bolsters. Like I said, it serves as a great memento of 2020. It won't have lateral blade play for at least a century now, lol.

When its all said and done, I appreciate DLT's effort in attempting to right the situation and their labor and time in correcting the problem. The 110 Ultimate Hunter's they design are truly great knives, this one even with its issues is a favorite.
