Do clients improve or make knives worse?

Here's a guy I'm pretty proud of! He came out last year for 3 days of instruction, never made a knife before in his life. He's made 9 to date as far as I know of. I sure wish my first 9 knives looked that good. I helped him with "000" at my shop and he just sort of took off. He's coming back out next month for a few more days. I think if I was a collector, I'd beat a path to his door right now!

I'm also very impressed with Don Carlos Andrade, I sent him some W2 a while back and have beed drawn to his knives. Very nice work for someone who has only made a few knives.

Kerry, bet Tony was pissed. Early on I made some wierd stuff but refuse to now.

You bet correctly Don. :) He ended up with an obscure knife he thought no one else would want. I wonder if the guy in SF ever wishes he still had the knife.

I only have one from Tai, but it is one of my all-time favs in my collection.

The man and I have spent time together at my place and I have gotten to know, respect and like him as well as his work.

I have plans to turn him loose on something else in the near future and I know I would be happy just turning him loose with a vague idea.
