Do you also carry fixed blades around the house?

I have half a dozen fixed blades under 7” that I pocket carry, not every day, but from time to time. If I carry one that day, I carry it around the house, too. A couple I can also carry in an 11:00 cross draw. Those are a BK14 and a David Mary EDC cimeter.
 
I tend not to carry ANY knives in the house if I'm in for the evening. Granted there is usually something within reach wherever I am (other than in the bathroom).
Fixed blades are most definitely the most used knives in the house. Though most would refer to those as kitchen knives.

Fixed or near equivalent large Cold Steel Tri-ad folders . ;)

And a sidearm and compact tactical flashlight .

Except in bed or shower , etc . But still close by , even then .

More just as entertainment and practice / discipline than any real perceived need . :)

What’s with the orange condom? I guess knives need love too. 😆

Yes I do also carry fixed blades around the house. “Around the house” is the perfect place to carry whatever the hell you want.

Want to make flapjacks naked with only a belt on with a Battle Mistress flopping against your leg? Perfect place for it.

yes, but you would have to be careful not to have an accident, and I would be careful around a hot stove!! At least put on shorts so you will not have to use the Lysol wipes on the oven door!! :)
 
The only time I have a fixed blade on me is when I’m going hunting/hiking/camping, etc. Otherwise the folder in my pocket has been more than adequate around the house.

Depends on what I’m doing. If I’m lounging around. No. If I’m up moving around or outside I usually throw on my little neck knife. However I don’t have the need for a 5”-7” blade while at home. If I need something that large I just grab the skrama. Haha
 
I don't carry a fixed blade outside or in the house.
Only time I use a fixed is for alot of vegetables or watermelon.

Otherwise a folder does all I ask of it.

Just this ^. For what it's worth, I always carry (at least) a 3" necker. Sometimes, I sleep with it. But only because I forget it's there.
 
I carry folding knives due to the compact size
But there's always a couple of fixed blades nearby.
(Smatchet, USMC Ka-Bar, Sharpfinger...)

Dave....NOBODY does great pics to equal yours. I can add leather and specialized working fixed blades to that list, of course.
I had a major stroke in May, so will not be able to come out to break broncos for you as previously planned.

I gave up on this practice , after having 3 different small fixed blades get loose while I slept .

I didn't like waking up with a "naked" blade in my bed . No damage , but worrisome .

I guess I toss and turn a lot . Or maybe I pull the knives in my sleep ?

Kydex sheaths with good retention shouldn’t accidentally unsheath. For leather sheaths, the knife may slip out though.
