Do you carry anything else in the same pocket you carry the knife in?

Just out of curiosity, who else reserves a pocket just for their knife and nothing else goes in it? I make sure to never carry anything else in the same pocket I put my knife in, that way it doesn't get scratched up.

What about you guys?

I have a pretty pricy Android phone, so that's taken the front seat for the knife, which is know IWB. I take care of my belongings. A scratch should come from use, not from keys or change.

my money and knife always sit together unless i'm bike riding, then my knife goes in my waistband.

There's usually a knife in my right front pocket that shares space with my car keys but that's it. Phone, cash, wallet, etc. is spread out in other pockets.

Victorinox Farmer in my left front pocket, wallet over it. One-hand folders get clipped to the top of another pocket so they don't ride with the keys or other gear.

I keep my folder clip to my right front pocket and my iPhone rides in the same pocket. They clank around but oh well lol.

I've had a few knives get messed up by car keys, so now I only put soft or plastic things like my cell or wallet in the same pocket.

You especially have to be carefull with some of the moddern folders with open handle designs. Things like keys can get through the handle and make contact with the sharpened edge of your knife and 'ef it up pretty good without having even used your knife.

Sometimes I'll carry a spyderco military in my left front pocket by itself, blade to the pocket seam. That's mainly because it's a big handled knife for smaller pockets and the clip arrangement. My edc Endura3 rides with my keys. Scratches are not an issue.

Knife and lighter in my front right pocket. Phone in the left. Wallet and bandanna in the back. Keys are usually carried on a belt loop, but occasionally they find their way into the pocket with the knife. NBD...scratches add character.

Frosty

Only my phone gets a dedicated pocket RF my Skyline is right rear tip down with my wallet. And no I have never lost a knife carrying it in the rear pocket.

A small knife can sometimes share a pocket with keys, change, or sometimes phone. All my knives are users and a few character scratches don't bother me.

If I carry in a pocket, it's always my RFP and nothing ever goes where my knife is but my knife. Pocket, waistband, or belt, nothing goes near my blade. Never has. I started that 174 years ago when I was first starting to carry knives (5 YO at the time). I never wanted anything to get in the way of my getting to the knife. As they got more expensive, I didn't want anything scratching them up.

Knife only in right front pocket but it's easy as I travel light , usually only carrying a wallet and knife in pants. Phone and fire dept. pager goes on belt. As I've been riding my motorcycle this summer all my other essentials go in my backpack.

the only pocket that gets nothing else in it, is my pistol pocket when i carry a pocket pistol. the knife goes in the other one with everything else.

luckily i am a left hand shooter, so the pistol goes in the left hand pocket and i use my right hand for knife work, so the folder knife goes in the right side pocket. works out well...no confusion for layout.
