Do you carry anything else in the same pocket you carry the knife in?

Try to keep knife in small jean pocket (if possible) on R/S. If not possible then it's there with a pack of camels, bic and small flashlight.

Knife and Lighter
Knife and Change
or
Knife and Chap Stick
or
any Combination of Knife and Lighter/Change,Lighter/Chap Stick, Change/Chap Stick

I used to keep my knife in the back left pocket but buying a new car with nice leather bucket seats killed that. SAK trekker in front left pocket with keys, knife in front right pocket with phone, unless the knife can be set up for lefties.

I gouged the heck out of the aluminum bezel on my motorola droid with the jimping on my BM 760 LFTi, but that's the price of wearing tiiite jeans

Do you carry anything else in the same pocket you carry the knife in?

Yup. Cell phone, digital recorder, and traditional or single blade lockback go in the watchpocket of my jeans; sometimes a regular tactical-type gets clipped to the regular pocket. Otherwise, a traditional is almost always banging around in my right pocket with my change, carkeys, etc.

I've had a few knives get messed up by car keys, so now I only put soft or plastic things like my cell or wallet in the same pocket.

You especially have to be carefull with some of the moddern folders with open handle designs. Things like keys can get through the handle and make contact with the sharpened edge of your knife and 'ef it up pretty good without having even used your knife.

i drop a knife in weakside pocket with my keys. i have my cell in the other pocket i rather not get scratched up. i thought of clipping it on the pocket i have the phone in but i am not a fan of a visible pocket clip. i considered waist iwb but i am sure if i had to use it for something simple it would look more like a weapon coming from my waist band vs my pocket. it does influence what i carry. at work its an ss chive out of work its a delica 3. i have a starbenza i would love to carry but since it has the open handle i would hate to have my keys mess it up. lastly this is why i have picked up a damascus mnandi yet since i would hate to ruin it with my keys. i know i can use the leather case but if i need to get it quick i am sure that would slow me down.

Knife rides solo in front right and back right, my knives are my most valued pocessions so they take priority over everything else. I'll leave something behind before I put it in my knife pockets.

I put it in the same pocket with my leather wallet, so the knife does not get all scratched up, Change goes in the other pocket with my keys

Just out of curiosity, who else reserves a pocket just for their knife and nothing else goes in it? I make sure to never carry anything else in the same pocket I put my knife in, that way it doesn't get scratched up.

What about you guys?

My right front pocket carries my edc folder of the day, week, month, etc. That pocket carries NOTHING but that folder. My left front has my change, my nitro pills, and my slipjoint, while the outside pocket of my wallet has my Leatherman Juice 2.

I've been doing it this way for a very long time.

Kahr Arms PM9 right front pocket, cell phone left front, folding knife and keys left rear pocket, wallet right rear pocket.

Shorts or pants with cargo pockets make it even easier to carry even more stuff!

I went to Home Depot the other day to buy something, and had to empty my pocket onto the counter in order to buy something. Only after doing this and then looking down did I notice that I had two pocketknives, a lighter, car keys, some .303 cartridges, chapstick, a toothbrush and dental floss all jammed into my front right pocket.

Clerk's expression was non-plussed. I emptied my pocket just now, and the only diff. today is no .303 ammo.

It seems to be like a half and half. IMO aside from the fact that you can keep your knife practically looking brand new another advantage to reserving a pocket for just your knife is that you won't risk losing it. For those who keep money in the same pocket as their knife, assuming your knife is clipped onto the pocket I would imagine it would be pretty easy to accidentally have it unclip and drop on the ground without you knowing.

My traditional folder of small Sebenza go in my right front pocket with keys and sometimes change. I'm more into using knives so if they get a scratch or two I'm OK with that.

My edc is this: Right front pocket: keys and wallet (nighttime includes a surefire e2d led defender), Left front pocket: iphone. Left rear pocket, small slipjoint (usually a mini texas toothpick or a swayback). Right rear pocket: change. Front right watch pocket: Knife of the day/week/month. I go clipless and I usually wear a 1/4" thick leather belt so the handle doesn't poke me. I don't like people to know I carry, but it's always there when needed.

No.

I usually carry mine in my jacket pocket anyways because people here get freaked out by any knife over 3 inches.
