Do you carry more than 1 knife on you?

I carry a ZT0350 in my front right pocket along with a Kabar stockman 3-blade folder for use around non-knife friendly people.
edited to add: the Kabar is also my loaner- I don't care if it gets beat up.

Ti Military clipped to front right. Victorinox Classic in front left on house keys and tools. Spyderco Jester on car keys in back left. This way, I always have a blade no matter what I pull out.

Vic on keychain, Kershaw Needs work on right pocket, and a stag custom In the left for "sheeple". And depending on where I am/going, a fixed blade. Oh, and a Boker credit card knife in my wallet. So, for EDC, that totals to 6 blades.

If you count my mutlitool its four blades. I've got a Leek in my strong side front pocket, a Storm II in my weak side pocket, and a little SAK in my PSK on my belt. I want to trade in the Storm II for a DPX Hest just waiting for the funds to be available.

I pretty much go by the rule that two is one and one is none.

I just carry one on a daily basis (Benchmade Monochrome) hunting/hiking I'll carry a fixed as well.

If you need a bottle opener you don't have much of a drinking problem. I use my wedding ring:)

I always have atleast 2, sometimes more. I like to have a large defensive knife along with a more people friendly utility knife.

No. No offense to those that do, but IMHO carrying multiple knives - unless you have a job that specifically requires you to carry and use multiple blades - strikes me as crossing the line between being prepared and being ridiculous.

Is someone who carries more than one pen or pencil ridiculous also?

I know I'll be the minority, but yes, just one knife at a time for me (except when I'm hiking or camping).

I usually carry one for EDC. Either a Spyderco UKPK or a SAK Soldier. Sometimes I'll carry both of them but that's just because I leave the SAK in my jeans so when I put them on in the morning it's already there. If I'm travelling in Europe I carry a Wenger Metal 50 that I got in Switzerland, never know when you'll need a corkscrew :D. When I go hiking or camping I carry the Soldier and either an Enzo Trapper of a sturdy folder. Also I have a Swiss Tool in the truck but I'm not technically carrying it so it doesn't count.

Typically 2 folding knives.

Lately 1 because I too don't like the added clutter.
Although having 2 gives you more to play with, I mean options.

2 to 3 depending
one med to large folder as my large utility/emergency sd
one small folder (leek or small vantage size) for sheeple friendly utility
and a sak or mutitool

I usually have at least 2 on me. 3 at work because I have a multi tool with me. I normally have a large folder (Kershaw tyrade, applegate combat folder, cold steel pocket bushman, ect ) and a smaller, more sheeple friendly blade, mostly an opinel no.7 or 8. I am thinking of upgrading to a case knife of some kind for the left pocket.

I normaly carry atleast 2 knives on me. Right now it is a leatherman skeletool and a case peanut. Somebody is always asking me for a knife to cut something this is why I carry more than one knife.

Depends. I always have a Sodbuster, Jr or similar on me. Three seasons of the year, I have a larger knife for heavier work in my outdoor coat. In summer, I may add a belt knife suitable to what I am doing.

I'm rural and probably reach for a knife more often than most of you. A small folder handles the light routine stuff we all do very well, but I don't want to do a lot of cutting with one. I suspect many of the others we are hearing from are also carrying a small GP blade of some kind and adding on need specific knives.

That depends - does this person carry a nice $100+ fountain pen for personal use along with a smaller backup pen on their keychain, an extreme tactical pen in their left pocket for defensive use, and a sheeple-friendly bic to loan out to 'non-pen people'? All the time? Even if their occupation does not require them to carry more than one pen?

If so, yeah, that'd definitely be crossing the line between being prepared and being ridiculous. ;)

Usually two. Gerber Ripstop 1 or Victorinox Cadet as a back up blade and then a primary blade like my Spyderco Endura 4, Benchmade 710 D2, or Kershaw Skyline. I switch between those and a few others but the ones i mentioned are carried very frequently.
