Do you edc a flashlight?

I EDC a Coast PX25, I got it at home depot a few months back, its a really bright and tough flashlight, 208 lumens and I dropped the thing from at least 5 feet and still no problems, it only takes 3 AAA batteries also

208 lumen light output
6 hour 15 min runtime
128 meter (419 ft) beam distance
3 X AAA batteries (included)
Max Beam Optic System
Cyclone™ Heat Sink System
Lightweight aluminum casing; Rubber rear power switch
Impact and water resistant
4.2 ounces (including batteries); 4.7 inch length
1.11 inch diameter

I carry a FOURSEVENS Mini MA Titanium on my keys. Lots of settings (including strobes and S.O.S.) and nice run time on an AA.

Ok,I mentioned the Maratacs for a great AAA light, but at work I carry an Olight i1EOS.It takes 1 CR123 batt. for an out the front(according to the specs) 4,40 & 180 lms.
Great little light for work,I've dropped it a couple of times from about ten feet with no problems(yet),despite the drop proof rating of only 1.2 mtrs.
Very compact little light & being in my coverall pocket I don't notice the added girth the 123 battery gives it.
I wouldn't carry it in my jeans though, hence the AAA Maratac.

In my EDC pack,I carry an iTP SC1 Eluma.(also made by Olight)
I picked it for the single battery & the strobe.
I feel a strobe or flashing mode is important for signaling in an emergency situation.
It has a tail on/off switch & front side switch for power changes.(I love the side switch for a normal hold on the light)
I have a ZebraLight SC50w & bought it for the side switch, but I can never remember the proper sequence of clicking for going through the different modes & sub modes.
The iTp SC1 is much easier to use,so I'll stick with it.
One CR123 battery,for 6,42 & 230 lms.(I assume at the emitter,not out the front)
By holding down the side switch it changes power from anywhere between the low of 6 lms to the high of 230 & you can release it at what ever illumination level suites you,or just click it for the 3 stated powers + strobe.

I have edc'd Fenix, EagleTac, NiteCore, 4Sevens and Zebra... all worthy lights. Then one day (about a 2 years ago) I bought a Jetbeam PC10... since then that is the only light I have carried. I dont go anywhere without it. Amazing !
Yeah,I'm likin' that PC10,550 lms in turbo.

I EDC a led mini-mag everyday and I mean everyday. I have more expensive lights for HD and weapon mounted systems. But that damn mini-mag serves my day to day needs very well. They can be had on sale for around 16$. I think they're 20$ normally. Great bang for your buck.

I don't leave home without my Streamlight Micro Stream. It rides slipped through and clipped on my first FR belt loop. First needed it when I broke down and was with a friend without a light. At night. In the middle of nowhere. Spent all night in a dark car hours from home. Decided then and there I would never again leave home without a light. Chose the Micro Stream because it's very compact, runs on a AAA and is bright for it's small size. Good edc light.

Here's mine, Fenix E15 - 140 lumens? Found a great deal, $18 bucks! But the cr123 batteries are expensive.

For a few years I've carried a Fenix LOD (1 single AAA battery) on my keychain. Great light, brighter than an old style 4 D-cell Maglite! Inspired me to upgrade all my old dusty Maglites to LED to make them useful again.
That reminds me I need to buy some larger Fenix lights soon!

There is a place called batteryjunction.com that offers cr123a batteries at relatively good prices. I like them because they stock duracell but they stock others for $1 each.

I just upgraded (IMO) from a Fenix LD01 to a 4Sevens Quark Mini 123, and I absolutely love it. The LD01 is nice too, but the Mini is fantastic. I don't know why it took me so long to make the jump to CR123s.

I carry the Stream Light "Stinger" on a daily basis. It's recharge capability is a must as I use it daily. I've had it approximately 6 months and have had to charge it once. I recently received the 1800L with a ZT-560 and currently carrying it in the vehicle as a test.

yep a Fenix LD10 Small light and takes standard AA batteries has adjustable brightness and can get bright for its size.

Rechargeable is a good way to go also.

I used to EDC a flashlight religiously. Since they started putting such good lights on smartphones I sometimes don't bother. It's great for work, I can just carry my phone instead of a flashlight, camera, and calculator.
Now if they would just put a blade on this thing.....
And a tape measure.

I've been carrying a pd32 for quite a while now, and after much abuse it's finally having an issue with turning on. Love the pd32, and I'll keep it as a backup, but for my next main light I'm going to try a new flavor.

I love my fenix lights! LD10(AA 70hrs) on me at all times, EO5(AAA 3hrs) on my key ring, and EO1(AAA 27hrs) in my otterbox PSK. If I'm camping/backpacking my LD40(4xAA 245hrs) and HD11 head lamp(4xAA 206hrs) are definitely on the must have list. Credit where credit is due: I carried mag lites for many years before LED, and they never let me down, and wouldn't hesitate to trust them still. Has anybody used the new LD12? It's next on my list, I like the adjustment switch on the side.
