Do you edc a flashlight?

I got this for $10 while picking up some stuff at the hardware store. Small and plenty bright and just uses one AA battery. It stays clipped in my EDC bag and I find myself using it all the time. It's 50 lumens I think. When I think about I will get the 90 lumen version which I think is $13

Just got a 4sevens quark aa tactical, along with a build-your-own that I didn't realize was shipping from Hong Kong. The quark is spectacular, though not quite as bright as I need yet. Waiting on some 14500 batteries to show up in the mail, then it will be almost perfect. Still might pick up a Jetbeam bc or pc10.

As for the Hong Kong flashlight, I think it was $25 and it is spectacular for the money About 350 lumens. A little bit floody, but it does the trick. Pretty happy with the purchase.

I received a Peak Logan and El Capitan in the mail yesterday that I am currently playing with. The Logan needed a clip which it does not come with. Interestingly the clip off my JetBeam BA20 or PA10 both fit the Logan for EDC so currently that is on my pocket. I have the Logan in stainless and narrow profile for the beam. Since it arrived the normal EDC light somewhere on me has been the EagleTac D25AMini Twisty in Titanium Limited Edition that I snagged on Amazon but before that my normal routine and most beat up light is the JetBeam PA10. My favorite and most impressive of all these is the JetBeam PA10 tho and all these others were bought after it just playing but none of them do more with a single battery than this one! At least thats my opinion. I'm hard pressed to bump my JB even if it is a bit big at times in the pocket. If one thing besides being USA made can be said about the Peak lights they are small! The D25mini is pretty tiny too tho and packs a lot of impressive light with the XM-L U2 LED

Actually even tho NEBO is a cheaper light I have found em to be worthy of their price.
I've had no trouble with the one I have and I've used it quite a bit.
For a light thats $20 or under you can't go wrong IMHO!

got a link to the hong kong light?

i do not EDC a light. i do always carry one when fishing (and now hunting). and, i also have a light with me when hiking and skiing (and obviously camping), but it is usually a headlamp. For flashlights, i still have my maglite's around, but newer LED's, i have always just purchased el cheapo ones from hardware stores amd scattered them around (house, car, etc.). I have been considering getting a nicer flashlight to carry, so this is a good thread for me to find.

i have looked at several that folks say they carry. with the pricetag (and size) of that streamlite microstream, i am going to have to give it a try.

thanks all.

absolutely! i carry a fenix LD01 which fits nice and slim in my front pocket. you never know when you'll need it. my most recent need was in germany a couple weeks back. was walking back from a company event through a dim lit/sketchy part of berlin. i was the only one out of a group of 8 that had some sort of light source so that we could see where we were stepping. (i must also mention that my colleagues like to poke fun at me/us 'americans' who carry flashlights and knives in our pockets--i had my customized SAK with me abroad. lol.).

Ran my Streamlight Microstream through the washer and about ten minutes in the dryer yesterday. It still works fine and no, I did not do it intentionally.

I did the exact same thing with mine. Great little light.

Ok guys. i did it. with hunting this year, i have been spending more time in the dark. so, it was time for me to get a good flashlight. ummm...plural. i got both a jetbeam bc10 and a ba10. these seemed like they had all the features i wanted and at a decent price. i figured i would check 'em out and will sell the odd man out, as necessary.

again...thanks for the thread jeff.

I always EDC a light. Quark Mini 123 on my keychain, then I have two HDS lights, one high cri, one neutral XPG, one nitecore ex11 neutral XPG, nitecore D11 neutral XPG, fenix pd32 high cri, etc...that I always rotate to pocket duty. Along with a pistol, and knife.

Have a Surefire 6Px Tactical in my EDC bag, EDC(on-person) a Lenslight Mini Ti and have been drooling over Mac's Custom Tri-EDC......just started setting money aside to order that one!!

Sunwayman V10R Ti+. Not bad with clicky and rotary control ring from one lumen to 500, nice floody and pretty white beam. Previously a Liteflux LF2XT with custom knurled titanium body, XPG-R5 emitter upgrade, sapphire window, green tritium button until the switch failed. HDS High-CRI Rotary on order...hopefully by Christmas but I'm not holding my breath.

Other lights include Zebralight H50-Q6, Maratac AAA, Jetbeam M1X, Olight SR-90, 4Sevens Mini123.

I have 3 Fenix lights that I rotate through depending on situation.

Fenix E05 - On the keys so always with me.
Fenix E11 - Great for the pocket and often comes with me for everyday tasks. Using 1 AA with 100 Lumens it's hard to beat.
Fenix E21 - Always with me at the cottage, or out walking the dog at night. Brighter and more use in a defensive scenario than the E11.

And then there is always a 4D Maglite in my car so........ I think I'm covered. ;)
