My EDCs are a small Sebenza or a Victorinox
Tinker with wood handles.
I'm of the opinion that objects just gain character with usage.
I know that certain "tools" like my duck gun, certain knives,etc.
mean more to me today than they did when new.
As an example, I have two Randalls; a model 5 and a model 8.
I've owned them since the late seventies/early eighties.
One or the other is with me whenever I am hiking,camping, hunting,
fishing, or just woods walking. That's a lot of usage for each.
I can guarantee that each knife is worth triple today what I paid for it.
The value to me though, isn't dollars. It's memories. Each knife in
imbued with plenty. They will be handed on to my sons.
You know what? I think my sons would rather each have a knive that Dad
used than a knife that Dad just owned.
