I went all in on computer games this year, had the cash & the time. Never grew up around computer games because did work instead.so started as a someone in their late 50's. I must say I have never met more welcoming, smart and helpful young people.a lot like typical knife nuts but on average younger and no snobs.
I got the latest big ass PC, a steam account, a playstation account , a PS5 , a VR2 and a broad selection of the latest games.
The results: the STEAM website and account process was hideous. If I took my computer offline for any time I would get 20 hours worth of upgrades to get anything to work again. I tried to purge everything from my computer but it it's still there. As far as I'm concerned STEAM is a malicious virus.
I'm contrast the PS5 was a dream, had it out of the box and all working in 15 minutes, the VR2 definitely drew me in with the free God of War game or whatever. I lost track of time a bit. When I finally got out of it my 4 dogs were all in a circle around me. I was struck with guilt and took them for a super long run.
I can sort of see the appeal and the danger, the technology is amazing but I would definitely prefer going hiking with my dogs.
All the shit ended up in a box a week later and has never been used since. I will give it all away to some neighbor kid
I still get spammed mercilessly and relentlessly from STEAM.
Hope you enjoyed hearing about my entire gaming career. Glad I tried it TBH.
I got some spam about a game set in the Vietnam War, tryna find out how historically accurate it is, actually thinking of getting it because I already follow that chunk of history.
