Do you have a carry rotation?

My only real rotation is during the week for office carry, consisting mostly of sub-$40 unassisted folders. Once or twice a week, if I'm feeling frisky, I'll bring something a little nicer ala ZT, Benchmade or a nicer Kershaw such as a Lahar, Groove or Cyclone. Actually, Kershaw is quite well represented in my rotation. For night/weekend carry, when I also have a concealed handgun, I typically have a Kershaw RJI in my left-front pants pocket. I prefer something full ambidextrous with more than one opening method for anti-social settings.

Today was my first time out with the HK (Benchmade) Axis 14715 that I just picked up on the Exchange, and if I was in a profession that called for robust but discrete duty knife, I would definitely consider that.

I go through my manix 2, zt0095 and mini grip. Not really a rotation though, more of a case of best tool for the job that day.

I'm actually trying to move away from rotating knives. Right now it's a Buck 286 and I kinda hope it'll still be that in a year.

Since I got my Sebenza 25 a few months ago, my carry rotation consists of removing my Sebenza from my pocket, putting in one of my Spydercos, Benchmades or ZTs; then Replacing that knife with the Sebenza after a few minutes or hours.

Oh, I forgot. I "rotate" this knives around the house or when in pants. They sit in a box nearby, always at hand.

They're just budget folders I scrape, pry, stab ice, etc. with.

They were amongst my first blades, when budget was really tight and I was starting to discover the folding knife world, and now they're just beaters.

ANd for that, they work flawlessly!

I have ten knives in my rotation, but I don't really rotate through them, it's just what I feel like carrying that day. This works out great because the knives compete to be the lucky knife that gets carried that day, and so I find it brings out the very best of them. :p

The lucky knives: Buck Vantage large, Buck Vantage small, Kershaw Skyline, Kershaw Blur, Kershaw Cryo, Kershaw Junkyard Dog II, Boker Sandalwood, KaBar Dozier Hunter orange, Victorino Farmer Alox, and Ontario Utilitac 2.

I keep my rotation limited to ten (for no reason whatsoever, maybe limited desk drawer space), so if I want to add a new knife to the rotation I retire one of the previous knives.

I would not call it a rotation per se, I just select the appropriate tools for what I am doing, If I am in an office, if I'm going into the inner city, headed into the woods, et. et. Every situation has it's own criteria, and I select from my collection according to my needs.

My pants are baggy, and my pockets spacious, so I usually carry two or three knives in my right front pocket. No particular order. Right now it is an Alox Farmer, a RR Improved Muskrat (I really like that one) and a Pallares leaf blade. If I have a one-hander it is usually a Leek or one of a couple Benchmades.

Saturdays during the summer I drive a shuttle bus for a tubing park. I have to cut a lot of twine (you aren't getting on my bus with those tubes tied together) and the youthful inebriates can get unruly, so I carry something it won't pain me to lose. I have some fat bladed Kershaws that fill the bill pretty well.

I rotate. I don't have a specific order, I choose the right knife for the kind of day, kind of tasks I will be doing. Weather, fishing, farm work, going into the city, out in the woods tracking, etc. All that helps me decide.

I currently have around 80 knives that I rotate through. I stick to the rotation unless the day calls for a specific blade. Today the Benchmade Nakamura was up.

I've sold off a lot of my collection. Mostly the ones I never carried. I have about 5 of those left, but I usually cycle my Small Sebenza variations.

I carry more keys than knives (by volume). I really hate to carry keys in my pocket, but I see few practical options if I keep keys to several vehicles available to me all the time. I much prefer to carry knives.

My EDC knives, no matter what, are:
Black Victorinox Executive SAK.
Red Victorinox Spartan w/mini-screwdriver.

The one-hand opening knives I rotate to carry are:
CRK plain large Insingo.
CRK small Inkosi.

The main issue I've been having is whether I'll carry the Insingo or the Inkosi. Both are awesome cutters, and usually I'll take the Insingo to work.

If I go to the beach or will be around/in water, I'll opt for my Spyderco Pacific Salt SE. If I will be needing a heftier multi-tool, I'll carry my Victorinox Spirit on my belt.

I change it up. But I always seem to comeback to a couple favorites : BM 710 and Spyderco Yo2.

I have a small plethora of knives I carry somewhat regularly, not in "rotation" persay, but all readily available to rotate in and out to cover different moods, situations, outfits, etc.

Among them there are some "favorites" I carry more frequently, a Kershaw Blur OD or Elmax, a BK11, a SAK huntsman, and a SAK Classic on the Keychain is a pretty standard getup; Kizlyar Vega/Ute, Kershaw Scrambler, Benchmade Contego/Hardtail, Kizer (forget the nomenclature), all find plenty of time as my folders as well, a lady leg, congress, or trapper often displace the SAK, and a Buck Open Season, Arno Bernard Wasp, or a Mora Companion are the most frequent fixed blade alternatives, but many more come and go as well, today I carried a Buck Quickfire.
