When you can't decide what knife to carry, or if you're in a rush and don't want to think about it, do you have a go-to?

This is my default. Checks off most of the boxes for me.

If we're talking EDC we don't have a huge choice here in the UK so either a Victorinox tinker or Boker tech, nothing flashy but they do the job and I'm not looking at a "stretch".

Ha! I’ve been thinking about starting a thread like this!

It’s changed over time , but over the last year it’s been one of these two:



The Troodon takes up no pocket space and rides deep. Somehow it just feels more “special” than an Ultratech.

The Spyopera looks a little goofy, but it’s pretty much the same size as a Delica, & with micarta, decorative hardware, & etc. It’s classy enough & non-threatening enough to be suited for any situation. It’s easy on the pocket, and in case it goes missing, I’ll only be mildly bent out of shape.

Weekday indecision default (for the workplace): Spyopera
Weekend indecision default: Troodon.

I have a few I rotate thru weekly, but if I know I'm going into RI (which has a 3" limit), or I don't know what I may be facing, I'll go with my CS Mini Recon 1, as it won't hurt too much if I lose it or it's confiscated.
