Do you have a lanyard on your EDC? Poll

No lanyards on mine.

I see things called lanyards that I would classify as short little handles and not lanyards. A lanyard should be something that you can wrap around your wrist or put your hand through to retain your knife. A cute little colored paracord weave that hangs out of your pocket is not really a lanyard. Some people use these things to help pull their knives out of their pocket but I don't need them for the way I operate. If I was outdoors, or maybe working on the water, and I needed something to positively retain my knives then I would use a real lanyard. So far I haven't needed one.

The Perrin PPT comes with lanyard attached, so -- yes.

got one on my SAK and one on my Tenacious. I also have them on some of my EDC lights too.

Only when fishing or on a boat for other purposes -- to and from a duck blind and when a duck blind, etc..

I need to have a lanyard on my knives.

I always carry mine in some kind of sheath without pocket clips.

I use the lanyard to pull the knife out of the sheath.

Plus I think they add some character to the knives.

You should worry about the clip snagging on something more. I've had knives pulled out of my pocket several times by pocket clips snagging on stuff.

That is odd.. I have never had that happen to me once.

Actually, I had a SOG clip snag on something once and it ended up breaking the clip, although the knife stayed in pocket

Actually I generalize all paracord attachments as lanyards (incorrect, I know). So if the OP meant just true lanyards, then no, I don't have any on my knives either. I do have some paracord fobs on the 3" folders.

I've got a small loop of cord (old boot shoelace I think) on one of my harder use knives, just something I can get my pinky and ring finger in so I can retain the knife even if my grip falters. Other than that, no lanyards or fobs.

When sailing I use an actual lanyard so that I don't lose the knife overboard, although sometime's I'll just put a neon floaty keychain fob on it.

Main knife - yes (cliped to pocket so it's easyer to pull it out with gloves on), SAK - no (on bottom of pocket, I must take of gloves to take it out and to open it so there is no point of lanyard)

I currently have a lanyard on both of my edc's. My emerald deluxe Tinker is sporting a neon green CR style lanyard, and my green delica has a black and neon green square knot style lanyard. The delica might be loosing it soon though because I just don't like the way it dangles out of my pocket.

If its literally going INSIDE my pocket (SAK), then yes.
Ive spent time making fancy looking ones for my clipped knives, and then took them off within the hour.

I have a lanyard only on my knives which I pouch carry. You need one to get it out easily then unless the knife fits just so.

I used to carry with a belt clip (or carabiner on my belt) and the knife dangling upright in my pocket. The knife would have a lanyard or a short chain.

"Real" landyard...no, knotted paracord thingy...yes/no...I put one on for a bit then take it off...more for decoration than anything else. I made them using the guides from Stormdrane.
