I know john gotti loved to use knives. (On people) but never the less he liked knives

Notorious mass murderers who used knives....That's certainly a "thinking out of the box" source for famous celebrities who were into knives...bet there are a ton more.

The signed check wasn't for the Gator. It is just a random check being offered in the auction as a bonus autograph.

Don't know if he counts as a famous celebrity (or a celebrity at all,) but Gabe Newell --the head of Valve/Steam is a giant knife nut. To the point that there's an entire wall of art in the corporate headquarters created from pictures of his custom knife collection, and visitors to his actual office have to be warned in advance that there will be knives everywhere. I saw a video of a tour of Valve's HQ including shots of his office, there were several dozen knife boxes left on his desk, on the floor next to his desk, etc. Everything from Chris Reeve production stuff to full customs.

That's actually the only awesome thing I've seen in this thread so far.

Lucas Burnley has a picture of Danny McBride (of Eastbound and Down, Vice Principals, This Is The End, etc.) posing with his own Kihon and Brad Blount has multiple pictures of Ed O'Neill (Jay from Modern Family) displaying his JBB Knives. Todd Begg's Instagram is full of celebrities who own their knives (Steve Aoki, Sen Dog from Cypress Hill, the guy who played Clark Kent in Smallville, Travis Barker, Ceelo Green). Considering Todd can afford to charter a private plane to the Gathering, I guess this shouldn't be much of a surprise.

Can't believe Joel McHale hasn't been mentioned so far.
He was in Deliver Us From Evil which featured his character as a bit of a knife nut.
He also has that video online where he cuts open a teddy bear with a Cold Steel Espada.
And his Halloween picture shows him with a Master Tanto.

in this episode of "man vs food", i distinctly remember adam richman opening an oyster with a black bladed spyderco paramilitary.

Whether or not we care about celebrities and their world, there is no doubt that they have a massive influence on public opinion, especially among youth and especially in the age of social media. The more celebrities known for knife interest, the stronger the link between 'carrying a knife' and 'normal' becomes in a world indoctrinated to believe that all knives are weapons first and foremost. Public opinion in turn will influence lawmakers and politicians. Whatever our opinions are about celebrities, we would be foolish to ignore the influence they have.

According to one eyewitness the Irish actor, best known for his leading role in a string of Bond movies, appeared 'furious' and affronted as the TSA officer took out the bone handled folding hunting knife estimated to be five inches when folded, ten inches when extended.
