Do you (mostly) carry the same traditional knife daily?

I do. I most carry these two, Buck 110 and 75 pattern case.

I’ve been carrying the buck mostly 6 years and the case, over two. That’s not to say I don’t carry others for a few hours or even a couple days here and there, but 90% of the time, it’s these.

I also carry a leatherman PST daily.

I also add to these, but these are my baseline.

So who else carries the same knives most of the time?

The other knives get jealous if I do ;)

Yep ... Well ... O.K. ... The same patterns or types, anyway....
Carried a 110 or 6OT or 7OT pretty much every day for over 40 years. A large stockman and 4 blade Scout/Camp/Demo knife every day for a little over 60 years and counting. Some weeks/months/years I'll swap in a 85 to 93mm SAK of some sort with scissors for the Scout/Camp/Demo knife.
From November, 2000 until March, 2022, I had a SAK Signature on my keyring. In March, 2022, I treaded the signature and a Imperial Ireland Barlow for a SAK Mini Champ. I've carried the Mini Champ every day since. I've also worn a Toferner Celtic Pocket/Neck knife every day since it came in, after Uncle Donny gave out the second stimulus money.
Whenever I get a new/new to me knife I carry it (along with others) for at least a consecutive week to month.

I seem to be in something like a quarterly/semiannual pattern of rotation lately, with my knives. I pick a couple and carry them for a few weeks or months, then rotate one or both out for something else. I don't plan on that or deliberately time it as such - it just happens that way. A lot of it seems to turn on my constant fiddling with sharpening each of them. I keep experimenting with different approaches with different hones. If I get one of them in a place where I'm really liking how the edge functions in cutting, it immediately goes into my pocket for some undefined period of 'field testing' and will stay there for awhile.

Lately, I've been fiddling with Buck's 420HC blades. And being that I've liked how they're coming along, edge-wise, I've been pocketing them everyday. A Buck 111 and a 301.

no, variety is the spice of life. i carry a different one if i remember to take it. scrubs pockets are not very suitable for carrying much tbh.

Not the same one every day, but I have settled on a few patterns and specific knives in those patterns to be grabbed for pocket duty. I have to make a conscious effort to carry something else.

Almost always have a SAK of some flavor. Currently trying the Classic again to see if I can gel with them, otherwise it's been an Alox Cadet.

Main edc traditional is usually a Barlow or a Tear Drop, sometimes a single-blade Stockman or a medium Jack. Seems my other knives spend most of their time in the storage box.

I tend to settle into a groove where I carry the same thing for extended periods and nothing else feels right. For just over 2 years it was a douk douk, and when that wore down (it's in retirement now) I shuffled others around trying to find a good fit. For a month now it's been a case medium stockman in CV and red bone. That knife has kindled a long dormant spark involving that pattern, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it wears in.

My sheath knives tend to get rotated a lot more than the folders, usually according to what I plan on for the day and I always have my swisschamp.

I dont post often these days but I LOVE these kinds of threads. Users, abusers and re-furbished/scaled knives are my thing and I cant pass up threads that get to show them off.

Ive posted these before, but I bought both of these knives with the proper date/tang stamp for each of my 2 Son's birth years and have carried one or both since the day they were born. They have both been through it all, lost them both numerous times, found them (obviously and with great relief) and have even dyed them to match a handful of times as the color seems to bleed over time. The plan is to carry them until they are both old enough to be responsible enough to take care of them and let them have them. They both have a brand new Peanut with proper date stamps as well just in the likely case I misplace one or both between now and then.

In warmer months I usually just carry one of them in shorts but when Jeans season hits, one of the two go in the coin pocket and another blade will ride in the pocket but these two are true "daily" carries.
