That’s an awesome dad thing you're doing. The 75 pattern case has been dyed. It was bonestag but I carried it till it was colorless, then dyed it black. It now has some wear to the dye as well.I dont post often these days but I LOVE these kinds of threads. Users, abusers and re-furbished/scaled knives are my thing and I cant pass up threads that get to show them off.
Ive posted these before, but I bought both of these knives with the proper date/tang stamp for each of my 2 Son's birth years and have carried one or both since the day they were born. They have both been through it all, lost them both numerous times, found them (obviously and with great relief) and have even dyed them to match a handful of times as the color seems to bleed over time. The plan is to carry them until they are both old enough to be responsible enough to take care of them and let them have them. They both have a brand new Peanut with proper date stamps as well just in the likely case I misplace one or both between now and then.

In warmer months I usually just carry one of them in shorts but when Jeans season hits, one of the two go in the coin pocket and another blade will ride in the pocket but these two are true "daily" carries.
