Guns yes, knives no (too many). For example:

We are the same around here. Most of the guns have names, knives, nope.

I think a good knife name, would be Sticky.

Sticky, could just be himself or... he could poke you, and make you Sticky also!

Yes, I have given names to certain knives I have. Specifically after the edge rolls or chips on me with ordinary/light use.

No knife names, but I named my '77 Ford pickup "Sweetness" after the wifey because she was born the same year.

She said she should name her Jeep after me, because it's cute but it's a pain in the ass

I do not, didn't even occur to me right until I saw this thread. Have given one car a name, a 2001 Seat Leon 1.9TDI which was called Speedy, but other than that, no. Most knives etc come with names anyhow, those are good enough for me

I have 2 knives that were given specific names.

This Lockback Barlow was gifted to me by another forum member. About a dozen years or so ago, a few of us Bladeforums members met for breakfast before heading to a knife show. One of the members knew that I was kicking myself for not getting one of these before they were discontinued and sold out. He brought one of his along and gave it to me at the breakfast table. We nicknamed it The Breakfast Barlow and that’s what I have always called it.

The other knife is also an A.G. Russell model that I had rehandled in an Ace of Spades theme. I call it The Gangster.

It is pure coincidence that both of my named knives are A.G. Russell models.

Have named some vehicles , but mostly not tools /weapons .

(Hard enough just to remember names of pets ...and the wife's . )

I do call my tools "names" , sometimes .

But also offer praise and thanks for good work .
