Do you own a Cowboy Hat?

No...just baseball caps and a Tilley hat the kids gave me last Christmas ;)

Chris D.:D

:D ;) :D

(I only rag on the Tilley hats because I have met Alex Tilley on several business occasions and if you thought "The Donald" has an ego....man, you ain't seen nothin' yet!!!! )

I seem to remember hitting a few bars with you, are you sure you it wasn't a boot you tried on your head? :D
Yes it was and I cut quite the dashing figure in it...at least that was what the waitress told me :D

Cool hat, but it appears to be missing some Crock teeth.

That's cause we don't have any crocs in NZ.:D

We use human teeth over in these parts.:p

Nice hat Wally, but I never seen you in one like that.

That's cause you only see me in November and March :p
That's a summer hat :D

Some very interesting links there Wally, thanks.
I like the different views and enlarged views on Golden Gate. I might try some of these hats on in Photoshop. ;)

Village is where I ordered my new hat from. I'm staring at the box under the tree now.

Well we opened our gifts this morning and I saved the hat for last. It's the softest cowboy hat I've ever owned. It fits great and is very comfortable to wear. I'm going to enjoy owning this hat.

Yup got 2 Aussie bush hats- they are the equivalent of cowboy hats. Made of crushable/foldable leather with a sort of waterproofing 'grease' (kindalike beeswax) on them. Great for keeping off the sun and rain.

They aren't commonly seen in urban areas but nobody says anything once they find out how useful they really are.

I bought this new hat as a winter hat, but we haven't seen much of winter yet. My wife and I took a walk around the neighborhood the other day and wore my new lid. I was very comfortable wearing it and didn't get any strange looks or comments. Funny thing is my wife and I were a lot more aware of what people have on their heads. We did see this woman wearing a red cowboy hat, (like the kid in Toy Story wore) we looked at each other and both mouthed, "Nuts!" I'm sure glad I didn't get a red cowboy hat. ;)

Dontcha love it?
:D

The other day I passed a guy my age in the street...he had on a felt cowboy-ish hat and a red plaid wool coat.
So did I.

We smiled and kept going...so nice to see someone else with good taste :D

I don't own a cowboy hat but I did purchase this one for a member of the New Jersey Knife Collector Association (NJKCA). I don't know the brand or style but I really think it looks good.

Call it what you like, but I agree that's a good looking hat.
I tip my hat to the young lady that's wearing it also.

Here's three of my Mexican straws, from left: Panama, Bangora and Shantung.

Good looking hats Don. It's nice to see some "real" looking ones. :D A little short brimmed for my tastes, but at least not a "taco" hat. LOL My dad has a Comfort brand palmleaf that's made in Mexico. Pretty good hat. It's just like an Atwood, which are Mexican made too (at least the ones that I've seen).
