I picked this one, 'cause I deserve it!!! :o

Mine looks kinda 'mammoth-y', don't ya think?

My photos don't do these knives justice.

Little-known fact: if one peruses the forum after a long day and without one's glasses, one just might end up wondering why an estimable forum member has chosen to etch his white-bone knife with a grade-school (if earnest) representation of The Day of the Triffids.

Or perhaps it's meant to be Nessie.

Regroup. Re-read thread title to (re)gain bearings and context. Find glasses. Re-examine picture.

OH!

Stag.

An Eric's Jack.

And a beautiful one, at that.

:D

Carry on.

That's funny Sarah, and a familiar experience to those of us that have trouble seeing the screen. I can definitely see the resemblance. lol

That's a cool one Barry!! Looks different from all the others for sure.
Thanks JK, I'll try and get some better photos of it in the morning light. It sure is a pleasure to hold!

Eric did a great job on these, and they are all really impressive in hand. F&F is excellent and I like the all stainless construction. The stag on these is very well matched and of fantastic quality. Mine took a very fine edge on the Lansky diamond hones with a green compound strop.

Received my Eric's Jack today from Barry(thanks!) and it's sweet little knife. Not only does the knife have impeccable fit and finish but the presentation is top knotch! A nice box with a great label, felt bag and detailed story label on the back just takes this thing to the next level. Well done Erik and all involved! Sorry for no pics, had work today and never had time, maybe tomorrow!

I'm hoping one will be wending its way across the Atlantic to Europe during the next week or so! Fingers crossed.

This is like getting two different Forum Knives in the same year, can't be bad

Thanks, Will

Color me happy.

Thanks Charlie, John, Eric (ea42) and Barry for making this happen.

That's a beauty Gary!

Here's a couple better picts of mine:

I always was a sucker for a good looking blonde!!!

BTW: The knife easily shaves arm hair after the previously mentioned hone and strop. A very fine edge was the result after about 5 minutes!

Great stuff, Barry. That's a beauty, for sure! I love that it's different.... Your (rightly) having the pick o' the litter speaks all the more of its beauty in person.

Thanks for the updated pictures. I look forward to seeing more of this one in your photographs going forward. :-)

Eric's Jack: when given the opportunity to reap the result of the combined efforts, skill, generosity, and heart of John Lloyd, Charlie Campagna, Eric of Canal St. Cutlery, and Barry Johnson? All in one knife?

You do what you can to make sure you don't miss it.

For myself, I went back and forth between intentionally choosing an outlier, and going for one with a more consistent overall look. In the final reckoning, I went for, let's see, "Oooooh-- pretty!" :D

[Thanks much, Barry, for taking the time to photograph each and every knife with such care. In addition to mark and pile side shots, the top-down views helped me immensely.]

Good choice ~P! I like the smooth-yet-rugged look.

Your choice too, Barry - it stands out from that boring
old "normal" Stag!!:D
JK, JK! It is cool!!

resistance is useless.tax return is coming. email sent to Barry re postage. hope I make it.

Trying to resist these that I voted against - I am trying to stay focused on Charlows for now.

The Eric's Jacks are nicely made and quite beautiful!

Pertinux - that one you got is either the one or very similar to the one I ALMOST clicked on add to - NO - sticking with Charlows.
Barry - I really like your mammoth version a lot too.
Everybody else - They are all beauties!:)

Wow-Sarah, I actually picked your knife first up - then saw it had already gone - thats a beauty right there!

Some beautiful knives here. All the different stag samples received look brilliant. Will have another look at what's left after I do my month end accounts!

But like Primble above, I'm staying true to Charlows for now. (Although that #25EO on the exchange squeezed it's way in :o)
