I got a 9 and a 14 at the same time. I traded the 9 for a 2(and kinda regret it), and I gave the 14 to my brother for his birthday after he begged and begged for it. I miss it, think I'm gonna buy an 11 next.

My first was the 9. I like big knives. I always think of that scene from the 1st Crocodile Dundee movie. "Mic he has a knife. Thats not a knife, now thats a knife. My second was the necker. Along with micarta handles for the 9. I just got a 2 about a week or 2 ago. I think the 7 is next along with micarta handles and a different sheath for the 2. Addiction is tough.

I am jusr curious do you guys whom own the BK2 often find it too thick for certain tasks? I have a Mk1 about the same length and have been considering a bk2 but the massive girth scares me for carving widdling and tasks that require a thinner blade.

Can't decide if I want a BK9 or BK15 next...

Is the bk12 out of production?
It looks great, ive been wanting one but cant find them.

I still have, and with the original box, my first Cub Scout knife made in 1946 by Camillus, and given to me by my uncle in1954 when I joined the Scouts. On a scale of 0 -10, its condition is still an 8+; I have always taken care of my chit.

This thread has apparently been resurrected. Curious, whatever happened to the OP?

The 11 was my first. It actually helped cook my wife and I's first thanksgiving with our daughter (she was days old). It was a gift on the day my daughter was born. I know technically it is only worth what it is in metal, but it means a lot to me.

Next was the BK2. Found it new for SUPER cheap and jumped. Here it is upon arrival... I instantly fixed the sheath dangle issue.

within days...

I stripped the coating after it became pointless and this is the most recent photo I have... almost a year ago.

Have picked up a couple more amazing Beckers since then... but I will bore you no further...

Hooray for story time!.... and BECKERS!

Life... She was friends with a thieving so-n-so. When he went AWOL she felt it would be traitorous to still be around. Then she got into a new relationship and is happy with that guy, but he is NOT a knife-a-holic. And she is dealing with life.

Wow, awesome thread! Loved reading the stories. I'm glad it got resurrected.
Anyway, I haven't owned Beckers for that long. My first one was a BK14 and in June I can say I've had it for one year. I still love the heck out of it.
It went through a few changes on the way, but nothing spectacular. It got stripped after a while, got unwrapped from its paracord and equipped with the zytel handle scales. I forced a patina on it to try some stuff out, but it wore off and came back just by using it. I put some stainless hardware on it as well. I also got tired of having to take the scales of to clean it, since it rusted under the scales quite easily. So I just spraypainted the handles with some black paint that is being used for fences. It's not duracoated or anything, but it seems to hold up just fine. I did not have to clean it underneath the scales in months. Most recently, I got an azwelke kydex sheath for it. The poor thing kept on dulling so I thought I'd fix that since she had already served me so well.

Here's a thread I made on the first 14 weeks I've had the 14.

And this is what she looks like right now.
