Do you stick with carrying one knife for long every day?

Maybe because I'm really particular but I find it very hard to just like a knife to the point where I carry the same one every day for 1,2,6,8+ months or whatever. Do you do that? Is there a knife you are just so satisfied with that you're done searching for the perfect one and all the others you own just stay at home?

I've had the same Swiss Army Knife in my pocket every day for the last 17 years. It has some sentimental value that I won't get into. Plus, I'm a teacher, so I can't very well carry the hunting knives that I make (needless to say, that would raise a few eyebrows in the front office).

Yes, I do. I liked one so much I carried it for one year and no other. A Buck 110 that I made a good bellied skinner blade for. It cut very well, was the right shape and size with 440C steel. DM

My Buck 501 and Spyderco Military find their way on my belt/in my pocket more often than not. Weekends will usually be a 110 or a fixed blade. I can’t say they are exclusive, but they see the majority of pocket/belt time I’ve noticed.

I always carry a small sebenza 21 and spyderco ladybug, I change my large folder edc whenever. Could be months or just a day. Just whatever looks and feels cool :D

There’s never a knife that I’m so happy with that I stop searching for any others. But I have gone a month or two carrying the same knife. Usually it’s right after I first get it, and I carry it until the “newness” wears off.

I've been carrying a pm2, a Millie, and a manix2xl every day for the last month and a half.My zt 0804cf just came in so one of these will be replaced, I'm thinking the manix. Once I head off to the swamp for the winter my everyday fixed carrys will be the entrek bison with the okc tak mod piggybacked. Really want to take the rtak2 as well, if I can make it fit it's just such a darn versatile blade. Of course I'll miss my bk9'etc.

I've been carrying an Okapi everyday for 8 or 9 months because it has such a high fidget factor to me. I usually have another knife clipped to a pocket in addition. Today it was a Zancudo. The Vic Classic is on the keychain each day as well.

Carried my Buck 482 every single day for 2 years.
carried my Buck 425 every day for a few years before that.
carried my Buck 110 for maybe 9 months when I got it, and have since carried and used it every day back in July.
I Carried my Victorinox recruit from November to January.

Carried my schrade 33OT for a whole month in I think June .

In general since joining the BF's I've tried to pick an EDC for the week and more recently I've started to pick something else for the weekends just so I can get through my rotation of users a bit faster.
Those knives I've carried for more than a week at a time since joining here were just part of personal challenges, however I loved the Vic recruit so much I found it very hard to take it out of my pocket.
I love all of my users and could easily pick one were I not a BF's member, but it's seeing the variety here that makes me want to change it up.
Especially when I see someones beloved example of a knife I have, it makes me want to carry mine.

No, I carry what I think will do the tasks best that the day will have. If it is dumping rain all day, or fishing at the coast, or boating, I will go with stainless steel or rust proof metal.
If I am doing a lot of rough work, I will take a fixed blade with me. It all depends.
If we are talking about just folders, I pick the best folder for the days work.

I wouldn't go so far as "just so satisfied", but I am very satisfied carrying a Vic SAK and yes, it has been in my pocket for 8+ months. (Change the pants, but not the knife.) Still I like to pick up a knife every now and then I'll carry it along with the SAK (at least for a while) and then the next knife itch comes and I repeat. Not looking for "the one" as it doesn't exist.

Usually pick 1 of the 3 used in rotation. I might grab a fixed blade for a backpack or another pocket.

So long story longer, I'm not faithful to a single blade for extended periods. My relationships to knifes is more along the lines of polygamy.

Yes. Since getting into knives the shortest time I've carried a knife non stop was 5 months. Most were longer.

I carried a CRKT M16-14SFG as a work knife for 6 years, I recently replaced it with a Spyderco K2.
My casual carry it a rotation of a few Spydercos that I'm constantly adding to.

I usually have one knife on me all week, then on the weekend Ill carry a weekend-blade just to mix it up, and then its back to one for the week again. This keeps my mind a bit more focused on life instead of playing with knives , which can really distract me if im not careful :)

Lately the weekday knife is a CQC7 A-Blade. It used to be a B but the A is more usable all around and has staked its claim to my pocket.

This Uncle Henry, (The one in the middle), rode in my right front pocket every day for over 30 years until it's retirement about 15 years ago. Now I normally carry either a Hinderer or a Chris Reeves depending on my mood, but there's always an Alox Cadet SAK in my left front pocket.

yes and no.

got a swiss army i carry in my right pocket everyday for years. no changes on that ever really.

also carry with my swiss a bigger folder and rotate that one weekly. sometimes swap that bigger folder with a buck 110 in belt sheath instead of a second pocket carry.

just depends how i feel and what im gonna do that day etc.

Sorta like many I rotate about 3 knives, same knives I just switched them out every few days. Lately though I've been hankering for more Alox I difft configurations.
