I really want to see pics of the pre-diver, probe, and other earlier models. If anyone has pics, it would be great if you could post them.
Thanks!!!

Would an original Plain Edge Harpy make ya' happy?:p :)

And a Probe:

BTW these are not my pictures, they were found on the Spyderco Gen.Info Forum :)

Thanks a lot Krazie!
The probe pic and Harpy add. are great!
Does the probe fold? Is the end of the handle a scraper/pry?
Thanks!

I think it folds, but as for the scraper/pry bar I don't know.

Spyderholic over on the Gen.Info Forum at Spyderco's site posted the pic..maybe he can provide some details :)

Also I think it has the clip thing like the Snap-It, not sure though.:)

Krazie- I was wondering what that circular shape was by the blade. I think that it probably is a shackle similar to the snap-it. The probe is an interesting looking knife

How about this executive. The handle is fossilized Brontosaurus bone. They made about 30 of them for employees and suppliers.

That, I LIKE!:)

Wow, nice Executive. Imo, the Executive has a much more versatile blade profile than some of the newer "leaf-bladed" mouse-type knives. I think Spyderco should reissue the Exec with updated materals (e.g., VG-10 blade with an almite or ti handle).

I will try to get some of mine out and take some pics in a couple of days. I have the Probe, Pre-Diver, and mini Probe plus a few more :)

The best way for me to describe the Pre-Diver is imagine the older Mariner model on steroids :D

Ok, here is a picture of my Pre-Diver, mini Probe, and Probe. These are some of my favorites out of my collection.

Here are a couple of Spyderkeys. They look like miniature Worker models. I have a few in my collection. One has pearl scales and the other is ss. They are pretty "cute". The blades measure about 1 1/2" long. They also made tie clips like these.

This is the absolute rarest Spydie in my collection. Its the third Spyderco ever made. It is a Worker model with engraving. The Worker is one of my favorite models and I have almost every variation ever made. I hate that they discontinued it :(

P.I.G. Pride Integrity Guts! This one has seen some use but is still real nice. I have had a mint in box lefty and righty also. I don't mind carrying this one :)

Hey Guys,
Yes, that's a pry bar for prying abalone off of rocks and the blade does fold. They were called "Probes" but they are actually abalone harvesting knives. They included scales on the handles so you could measure if the abalone was legal or not. The "insets" were line cutters, (a hazard always when diving). The smalls were much handier but the larges were a beautifully made hunk of steel! Too large and heavy to be practical but Sal should praised for making them! Both made of 440C.

krazie, nice pics! The plain edge, SOLID handled Mariners were a prize also. Let one slip away awhile back and should have grabbed it!

Hey Mike! I recognize some of those Spyders!;)

Thanks to everyone who posted all of the great pics!!!!
I really love the probes, but the Spydie I want most other than the ATR :) is the Pre-Diver! That is a great looking knife! I think the line cutter in the back of the blade would be a real "bonus". I wish Spyderco would put a line cutter (not to be confused with a gut-hook)
on some of their new models. You could cut string without even opening the knife!

I have an original Harpy serrated that I still carry around in my cargo pocket. I have had it for years. Is it rare? Should I leave it at home and carry one of my other knives instead?

I remember buying it because it was the only knife I had seen that made one hand opening easy. Lots of good memories with that knife, and it still cuts like new.
