Does anyone know a story of this damaged Busse SAR 4?

Wow! You guys finally got one up on Jerry!

Thats the yet to be announced Busse SAW-4!

I see is a chance to get a really cheap SAR-4. And then... no choil, re-curve, drop point...

:D :D :D

Who is the owner of this #144? Drop me a message !!!

It is a shame but if someone wants to waste their hard earned money destroying a knife they bought then I suppose it is their business. That said it would make a real nice 3.5-4 inch blade, just send it in to the custom shop and you will have a one of a kind

I would have to agree that it looks more like a controlled activity, like the band saw or cut off wheel idea a couple people already mentioned. Take a look at how clean and untouched the choil is...it's virgin! No way haphazard chopping that close to the nearest notch on the edge would happen without an occasional hit behind the edge, into the choil.

Where was this found online? We haven't heard anything about it, so it was obviously intentional but how and why are what I want to know.

It is obvious that it was not a knife edge to knife edge test unless the other knife had a ball bearing shaped .090" thick edge.. . . .

It looks like a very angry spouse found something precious besides clothes to destroy.

I found it googling pictures. Was hoping someone here knew what insane actions caused this.

I don't think this is a photoshop. Both lighting and shadow look very real to me.

Still plenty of INFI left to work with...

The impacts or indents or possibly cuts didn't extend beyond the 'edge' profile.

Guess the other knife in the picture is the safe queen.

The pictures will take you back to where they were posted. What keywords did you use to find it?

Picture took me to the image hosting site, so no luck there.
I stumbled upon it by accident. I tried to find some forum thread about it, but couldn't, so I thought maybe someone here knew the answer.
