I have been thinking about the knife that I have. I thought it was Rotte's and I think it is after much thought.

I checked his activity and he has not signed on since EARLY January. Has anyone heard from him - or knows him personally and can check in on him.

He is a great guy and made the Arete project happen through a COOL contest in WSS forums.

I just want to check if he is okay and if the knife I have is his.

OKay - Right. I think this is his knife that I have.

I will just go ahead and make the sheath - I remember enough of what to make - and have it ready for him when he returns.

Holy crap.

Andy - You are disqualified - you need to get to blade and right now you need to feed the family. You focus on the awesome blades you make.

Let me finish it first - I will post up a price and we can figure it from there. I have had three offers to pay for the sheath. Let's make this a 'Fiddleback Forum' funded sheath. I will take some off the top for my portion and whomever wants to kick in can. - No pressure. If I get anything over by mistake - I will donate it to a Veterans Fund.

Okay - with this many people in - I will make it a more Custom Version. Nothing Gaudy - but he wanted a shield sheath - I will make a removable dangler for it - and try to make nice mottled finish for it.

I am thinking 15 dollars or less per person would make this happen EASILY. As soon, as everyone who wants in (NO PRESSURE) gets in - I will give a final total for everyone (once pictures are up).

Then - we delete the threads except for when he returns. Then BAM - we hit him with our version of a hero's welcome - Fiddleback style.

Ill put in on this, I mean Rotte gave away a BLJ when he got his Palmer (I believe). So I will put in some on this. Rotte is good people.
 
I just stumbled on this and although I can't help out I wanted to say this is the coolest thing I've seen. Rotte is definitely one of the really good guys and you guys are sure showing what you're made of.
