Does anyone know Rotte?

My part is sent. I love this place, Knife people are cool. I probably meet over 100 people at Blade and not one of them was a douchebag. Pretty good odds, most of the time if you meet 2 people 1 of them is a douchebag.

HAHAHA, Thats too funny
Damn if it aint the Truth, but still funny, LOL........

Hey Rotte welcome home brother. Spend a lil quality time with the family let them all see you and then make sure you make some time for yourself, reground yourself. Dont know what your MOS or job overthere was, either way you need to take sometime for yourself.

Thanks everyone. It is great to be back. I had a relatively easy deployment. Some of our guys are having a fierce time of it--there is much more fighting than the press reports back here. I was up in the Kunar & Pech valleys and Nangarhar province: almost daily some unit was in contact. The infantry guys are getting into full pitched battles on a regular basis--especially now in the warmer months now that the mountain passes are open. I appreciate everyone's support for those in service, some are paying a heavy, heavy price.

Andy is going to send the Nessie and sheath out, hope to get a little hill time with it. I'm stoked. Pics to follow.

Guys --

The Nessmuck and Sheath arrived yesterday. Simply amazing work. The Nessie is light and delicate in the hand with a thin blade (1/8"?), gorgeous fit and finish. Feels like a tremendous slicer--review later after some field use. The sheath is superb. Superb to the point of being sublime. There is no detail that Tal has not given his attention, from skived tabs to sanded and rounded edges. The sheath is a work of art in it's own right.

Andy also included some outstanding schwag--love the hat!

Once again a huge thank you for all of your support. The generosity and community of Bladeforums never ceases to amaze me. Please keep those who are serving overseas in your thoughts. (My brother is on his way to Afghanistan as I write.) We just lost 31 good men--a painful blow and stark reminder that there are those who continue to pay the ultimate price for freedom.

Thank you!
