Does anyone know the story on Mark? (MJS)

In my opinion you should be commended for having stood by a buddy, come what may.

Just wondering if anyone has heard from mark in the past couple weeks. i have sent him a couple emails, and for the first time havnt heard anything back regarding my month old order.

I feel thatI should jump in here also. I don't get on the forums that much anymore, (although that's changing), because of my past horrific work schedule. This thing about Mark came as a complete shock to me as I had been off of the forums for a few months.
I delt with Mark when he first came aboard on BF. He was the nicest, hardest working Internet dealer I had ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He answered my E-mails, (as someone stated), within minutes and his prices were absolutely the best. He bent over backward for me.
I once had asked him if he could obtain a hard to get, very popular auto for me. He found one, (and gave me a FANTASTIC price to boot), and E-mailed me about 3-4 times that he had it. I don't remember the circumstances but I didn't get back to him for about THREE WEEKS. Now he could have sold that auto a hundred times over, (and at a much higher price I'm sure), but he held it for me because he gave me his word he'd get it. Needless to say, I bought that knife and several others over time.
After a couple of transactions with Mark, I started noticing Jackyl, (whom I've never had the pleasure of communicating with), making wonderful posts about Mark and MJS. I chided in glowingly also about how great Mark was to deal with. I gave Mark the highest of praises whenever a forum brother would inquire about MJS.
After dealing with Mark, (and others), for several months, I had aquired all the autos I wanted. I checked his Website occasionally and as stated, gave him high praise when someone had a query about MJS. Imagine my surprise, when after a prolonged time away from BF, finding out about all this happening? To say the least, I was stunned!
I really feel for you folks that were left hanging in your dealings with Mark but these were my experiences and they were ALL exemplary. I just hope that Mark can possibly make restitution to you folks.
I also have to comment that Jackyl and Tombstone's kindness in all of this is to be commended. I don't if I could be as kind if what they went through happened to me. It is just proof positive that most of the folks on these forums are some of the GREATEST folks around!

Well guys...I have some news:

Looks like Mark is getting things straightened up, and will return full-force after the first of the year!!! I hope things return to the way they use to be.

I haven't purchased anything from Mark in a while, so i can only comment on the last email he sent me during his family crisis. He said he wasn't going to be working to hard at getting new knives for quite some time and would be busy though the remainder of the year getting things squared away.

This fits with what Jakyl has learned.

I dealt with Mark's dad prior to his death and then with Mark. They have always been straight and honest with me and I will always support them. After saying that, I believe Mark had/has a responsibility to his customers, especially those who have given him money and not received anything, to explain the situation(leaving out personal information) and make sure everone is satisfied. Honor and integrity are really all we have to go by here in the Forums and it is something we need to keep in tact. When all of your dealings are done on a computer, it is easy to lose trust that is developed. We need to be understanding of others troubles, but they must also try to met us half way. i'm not sure this made sense. I'm half asleep now.

I'm sure Mark will clear everything up.

I'm glad to hear that Mark will be coming back and making a fresh start. I've had several excellent transactions with him in the past and hope to have more in the future.
